Please use this recording format for all your jet audio’s! With the static mic and the right headphones you can hear the F18 fly AROUND and ABOVE you as opposed to always sounding like it’s right in front of you because you’re tracking it. Honestly one of the greatest aviation videos on the platform and dropped in my favorites list!

I used to work at El Toro and left at Tustin and we used to sit on our back porch and listen to the Jets this is really darn close to what they sound like 14 Mi away

The only problem I find with the binaural recordings is that they tend to be quite squeeky with a lot of 2k-7k hz action which doesn't sound really natural. If that can somehow be overcome the effect would be much more preferable for me personally.

Yeah I notice the same thing too. I'd like to understand if it's just a problem of the cheaper binaural mics or not. I'm currently using a 3Dio Free Space, the less expensive of their range, and previously I had the Soundman OKM II but that audio feature was there in any case. 3Dio also have the Pro II which has a totally different capsules from DPA Microphones. They should perform way better than the one of my binaural but Pro II costs 5 times more 😪

@@19Bozzy92ndChannel yea I know they're expensive as F... I think the squeekyness could be adjusted with a little post production filters, you know to even it out a bit and get a more natural representation of the sound ☺️ I could give it a try if you want 😃
