One thing I've found that ASMR nowadays have really lost is that sense of space sounds can give you. Not to say the ASMR these days aren't good, but I think it's when it's as immersive and as REAL bianaural as this is is the true essence of ASMR. Awesome work! Really feels like I'm at a barber.

Yeah i can agree to that but we also have a lot more ASMRtists now so i can't really complain. If you're interested I'd recommend Dr. Tingles and JoJoASMR. Dr is more professional and Jojo is a goof but he makes some interesting videos if you like to hear and watch

So much this! I specifically want binaural/3D ASMR but for some reason 90% of them sound so flat. No depth, distance and space at all. Some even have very expemsive mic setups, if not a proper dummy head then at least a 3DIO mic which is close, and still manage to sound flat and two dimensional and I do not get why. Are they compressing the audio into brickwall oblivion or what? This does not mean the ASMR performances were bad but they could be so much better with a proper spacious 3D sound. The best example of a proper binaural recording is still the rattling matchbox and that decades old and too short for an ASMR...

Also why this works well is because most ASMR video stay close to your "ears". Since you add depth by walking away and then coming close again truly shows off the mics capabilities.

I miss this kind of asmr. The depth you put into it like walking around and stuff really makes the whole experience one of a kind. The recent ASMRs I listened to now are just meh. They sit there and not even make an effort to make it sound more realistic or even be creative about it. ASMR videos like these have become rarer these days.

No, and I'm pretty annoyed by all the other commenters bitching about it. ASMR triggers are different for different people, and there needs to be more diversity in the ASMR space to cover people with different triggers. For some people, having the music in the background adds to the experience. If you don't like it, go watch one of the ten billion ASMR videos that doesn't have music. Jeez.
