Hey man just watched your video! Great tutorial (although sometimes a bit fast). I am following step by step, just wanted to put a different logo on my coin. The problem is: the logo is disproportionate and i cant seem to find a way to adapt it to fit the coin. Where do i find this setting? Thanks in advance!

Select the face or faces where you have assigned your image texture, after that go to the UV Editor (accessible under Shading, then click on the icon just left of the view text). Here you will find UV Editor then make sure that you have still the face/s selected and adjust it accordingly. I would recommend to split the screen and having the UV Editor on one side and the scene on the other to see the updates you are making in the UV Editor in real time in the scene. Hope this helps

Hi man, your tutorial is awesome although it's a bit fast since I'm totally new to blender. I followed step by step but struggle now to select the front of the coin as you did at 01:38 because I can't select the whole face of the coin but it shows me something like a rose texture, I don't know how to describe it. Looks like the rose windows from notre dame, and I can only select single parts from it. Edit: Figured it out, just leaving it there for people having the same problem: Don't press 'apply' when you add the modifier, just leave it as it is.

This texture actually comes as soon as I add the modifier, so maybe I'm doing something wrong there, I don't know. Also when I add the modifier the window looks a bit different, and there's a button "apply" that I usually click, which doesn't show up in your vid.

Hi, you have to make sure that you are in Edit mode (press Tab key), then select the vertex, press letter e and move the mouse, then left click.

great tutorial frfr :) theres just one tiny thing annoying me, I cant get that bullet point at 3:30 into Blender :// when copying from the notepad it just disappears in Blender, even if i change the font. Not sure what might be the problem. When you copy from the Notepad with Ctrl+c you return to Blender, get into Edit mode, select all the text with Ctrl+a and after that you replace it with Ctrl+v. That's it, it shouldn't be a major problem...

My imported image which you have linked in your description comes in black and does not appear gold and make creases as yours does

Make sure that you have the Image Texture connected to the Bump node and the Bump connected to the Normal of the Principled BSDF. So the Bump is just some height information and should not appear in black and white as you mentioned. You should have a golden material which you adjust in the Principled BSDF and connect the Bump as I mentioned in the beginning. Good luck!

Not sure what it might be. First make sure that your pillow (Cube) is subdivided many times on the X and Y axis and 1 cut on the Z axis (you have to be in Edit mode). Then make sure that you have your Pillow selected in Object mode, then go to the Physics tab on the right and click on cloth. Here in the Cloth panel under the Pressure settings type in a value of about 2. Then in Collisions activate Self Collisions and after that scroll down and look for Gravity, reduce this value to 0. This should work and btw the most difficult part you have already accomplished with the modeling of the Coin... Wish you good luck with the pillow!

I had the same problem and thought this might help someone in the future. For me the issue was caused by duplicated vertices. Go to edit mode, select all vertices with A and press M to merge by distance. That somehow fixed it.

it could have something to do with flipped normals or wrong UV maps. Hard to tell without seeing a picture, what do you mean exactely by blank? is it white or black?

when I try to assign the material (with Bitcoin image) to only the flat surface of the coin, it wraps it around the whole structure - how do I change that?

You need to have 2 golden materials, one with the Bitcoin Image and one only with the golden material. Then make sure that you selected the right face and click assign on the material tab to give that face the material. So when you have the Bitcoin Bump texture on other faces you dont want, select all those faces, then click on the material without the Bitcoin texture and press assign. That should do it. Good luck!

@@MagevoStudio Thank you, but I do have two gold materials, it's just they keep being switched in being assigned to the full coin cylinder. It looks like I can't assign the gold material to the round element in the middle of the cylinder only.

@@monikakozub545 Try deleting them, then carefully assign the correct material to the corresponding faces. Also, dont forget for the Bitcoin texture face, when selected, press U then choose Unwrap. After that you will see that the texture might not show up how you wanted and therefore you will have to go to the UV Editor and adjust it a bit. I know it is a bit abstract, just try, and if it does not work you might have to watch the video again, Im sure you will see it more clearly the second time.
