The medical side of it is promising. In the future it would be wonderful if the technology could be used to create detailed overlays of the inside of a person's body in real time, viewed through a headset by a trained professional. It would dramatically improve the speed and accuracy of diagnosis. Imagine going to a hospital with an unknown medical condition and the doctor can literally look at you and clearly see the issue non-invasively.

I'd try it if it was cheaper. The Naked scanner would be better off with a price tag like that to tailor to gyms, so I could go there and get a scan once a month to see my progress. I don't see very many people buying a 1300 dollar device just to track fitness, gyms on the other hand.. Heck, tailor it to gyms, put in a monthly fee the gyms have to pay and boom; good business

You asked a very profound question my dear user. Fundamentally, computers quantify physical existence and without that we'd have no calculators, satellites, clocks, smartphones, etc. This raises the question, if the spiritual nature of reality exists, is there a computer that can detect it? And if so, what might we find besides just souls? If such a computer can exist, how would we build it?

I don't know where to begin, but a few uses would be see the health of your heart and if you are at risk of heart attack without invasive surgery; not to mention map the heart for stents. detect if you have broken or micro fractures in bones, measure bone density for older or astronauts and maybe even get a look a the marrow in you bones. For people with phantom pains, you can look for pinched nerves, or damaged ones, or even see tumors that are forming and monitor them over time. It could also the the health of your organs, if there is something disproportionate, or damaged. you may even be able to map peoples brains and check for damage after stroke or heavy drug use, or treatments for animal study.

3d xray every 6months to year + IBM Watson to review data and you have a game changer for early disease detection and remedial action. I for one would love to do this for athletic training, and overall health screening.
@keithhunt86 жыл бұрын
As the cost comes down, this will be a standard part of our annual check-up with our family doctor. A.I.s will scan over the results looking for potential anomalies. It's going to increase early detection of a lot of diseases, making it much easier to treat, before things get put of hand. If it makes you feel insecure, you probably have some growing up to do.
@rlguerrero22634 жыл бұрын
Sounds fine for me. I would gladly take those scans in a regular basis to eventually find out diseases in an early stage, mostly cancers, as well as to know what's starting to go awry and take action in time. This could even become the cure for cancer.

I'm a CT technologist and this is complete BS. All CTs since the mid 80s have been "3D", axial, saggital, coronal. More recently, they can take that data and digitally reconstruct a highly detailed volume render of internal structures. There is no new 3d xray. The way they described the "new technology" is how CT scans have always worked. This is more an advancement in computer graphics and memory bandwidth.
@ozzy91206 жыл бұрын
tlehman0001 l think she says in the video all ct scan can do it but now they got more "specialized detectors" 1:45 .
@tlehman00016 жыл бұрын
@@ozzy9120 Which is incorrect as well... that's how all xray and ct detectors work.... the different tissues and anatomy absorb only some of the xrays causing the non absorbed xrays to hit the detector at varying energies, providing contrast resolution.... the ability to distinguish different tissues from one another... this is the principle that CT was founded on. The only advancement here is in computer 3d rendering algorithms, and memory bandwidth. We wouldn't be able to form a 2D image without this fundamental property of xrays.

I _want_ to see the inside of my body, head to toe. Admittedly, I'm certain that such a desire is _extremely_ rare -- particularly outside of medicine. But I wanna.
@Octojen6 жыл бұрын
What strange emphasis - I don't think there internal scanners are being made so you can put pictures of your kidneys on the wall. Having accurate data about your health is so clearly a great thing - get rid of some of the guessing your doctor does. I'd have a scan in a heatbeat!
@destondauncey98846 жыл бұрын
I strongly disagree. As someone who is passionate about health and fitness, seeing a 3D model of the inside of my body would motivate me even more and provide me with more information to optimise my lifestyle. I would be able to get a better idea of my progress and see how much of a difference something like a cheat meal would really make. Just because some people don't want to face the truth or others become obsessed with body optimisation, it doesn't mean the technology is the problem. The real problem is an underlying issue with their self-image, which is caused by other psychological or environmental factors.

Love to learn what might be possible in the future of eyesight if you guys have any info about that. I was born with cataracts in both eyes, had them removed when I was 16 years old, now my eyes seem to be going buggy on me. Is there any hope of turning this around or am I stuck with worsening vision? I have heard of extracting, I believe it was dormant stem cells from the brown part of the eye, and sort of waking them up and reinserting them back into the eye. seems far fetched, but I think the scientist were trying on mice within the last 10 years of so. If you have info on this stuff it would be awesome to know.
