3D Carving on the CNC - 3d image bought on Etsy

I did say I was going to get a bit more experimentail in the workshop, so here 's the first of many.
I bought this 3d image file from a seller on ETSY (link below) the file was perfect imported into VCarve without issue.
The result as I'm sure you'll agree is simply stunning, and all from scraps / left overs / waste.

Nice project Graham. When I want no color change, I use Deft Clear Wood Finish in a spray can but I do not know if it is available in the UK. It comes in satin, semi-gloss, and gloss. Another option is a clear non-yellowing floor finish (my preference is Benjamin Moore acrylic polyurethane). I might do some test carves and try different finishes to see what looks best before making one of those irreversible decisions. Steve

Rubio monocoat is Matt but they have a satin oil now drys very quickly or poss osmo oil

Graham, looking at the Workbee CNC after seeing yours in action - the blurb says its easy to build but the ordering seems complex eg so many options etc and is it really easy to put together as they sales blurb suggests. My current Trend CNC was a good learner machine but at 300x300 is too small for the projects i now want to do after watching your channel. Are you still happy with it and which Dewalt model did you fit - great video's btw

Its not difficult to build, but it is detailed and time consuming, we dedicated 5 evenings to it, so about 20hrs approx. As a starter CNC I'm more than happy with it and can recommend for a hobbyist / small pro. The Dewalt I ordered with it direct from Ooznest. 👍

@@GTWoodshop Thanks for taking the time to reply - you mention you may upgrade to a larger machine - would you stay with Workbee or go to another machine - I find the UK a bit restrictive in choices unless you go to big money ta G

Any idea why bandsaw table has fence plates on other two sides? Felder manuals do not show anything. Best guess is they are used for other fences and likely shop made. Oh I saw some support tables and the fence flipped around. I guess that is it.

Yes they're for extension tables.
