@MedicoVisual
@MedicoVisual Жыл бұрын
Dear @taashin2863, Thank you for your inquiry. I must share that as of now, I have not produced a video on the development of teeth and their supporting structures. My academic and professional journey has been in the realm of medicine following my MBBS, rather than dental sciences. This leaves me on a learning curve when it comes to the detailed biology of teeth. I hold myself to a high standard of providing content grounded in thorough knowledge and expertise. Given this commitment to quality, I'm not yet prepared to cover this complex subject. While I may explore this topic in the future as I expand my own understanding, I cannot make a promise to do so at this time. I appreciate your understanding and your eagerness to learn-a sentiment I deeply share. Kind regards, Dr. Aizaz

Allahamdullillah... That certain chemicals, or that unknown mechanism or every things just like from self thickining of neural plate, to thicking of surface ectoderm to for the formation of lens placode, or the formation of neural groove, optic groove, of the aligment of eye nasally... Allah is the only explanation of all these questions... And the Allah is the greatest ans to those who are saying that the world comes to existence by itself...

You are stating that the optic grooves develop on the anterior potion of the neural tube before the swellings appear, bending occurs, and even before neuralation has finished. This is quite an unconventional approach to the decevlopment of the eye, and I think you should make that clear, as this can be qute misleading for people looking to learn. In the widely accepted sequence of embryonic development, the neural tube forms from the neural plate through the process of neurulation. This tube then closes, starting in the middle and proceeding both rostrally (towards the head) and caudally (towards the tail). Your comment on the development of optic fields , is possibly alluding to the pre determined fate of this segment of the neural plate/ nueral tube, however the optic grooves do not form at this time. After the neural tube closes, it differentiates into the brain and spinal cord. The anterior part of the neural tube expands and segments into the primary brain vesicles. The optic vesicles, which later invaginate to form the optic cups (leading to the development of the eyes), originate from the sides of the forebrain region of the neural tube, specifically from the diencephalon, which is part of the forebrain,. These structures start to form after the closure of the neural tube, embryo bending, and the initial formation of the 3 primary brain vesicles.

I deeply appreciate your engagement with the eye embryology content and your perspective. It's discussions like these that enrich our collective understanding and push the boundaries of learning. Before we delve into the specifics, I'd like to clarify a crucial aspect of embryology that is at the heart of our discussion. A fundamental yet often surprising fact about the development of the eye is that the optic grooves, or optic sulci, form at a very early stage of embryonic development. This occurs not after, but before, the brain swellings become apparent and even before the formation of the neural tube. These structures emerge during the neural fold stage, illustrating the incredible intricacy of embryonic development from its earliest phases. This is not a contentious point within the field of embryology but rather a well-documented phenomenon, detailed extensively in both the text and figures of almost all major embryology textbooks. Now, let's consider the evidence that supports this early stage of eye development. "The Developing Human" by L. Moore and Persaud, in its 10th Edition (pages 417-419), provides a clear statement: "The first evidence of eye development is the appearance of optic grooves in the neural folds at the cranial end of the embryo." This statement indicates that the eye begins to form not after, but during the early stages when the neural folds are still just folds, before they've joined to create the neural tube. Early appearance of optic grooves underscores a critical phase in the embryological timeline, setting the stage for the complex process of eye development. This sequence is not isolated to one source but is a consistent finding across several seminal texts in the field. For instance, "Larsen’s Human Embryology" (5th edition, p. 489), "Inderbir Singh’s Human Embryology" (11th Edition, p. 319, Figure 19.2B), and "Clinical Embryology" by Robert Carachi (p. 191-192, Figure 24.1) all corroborate this timing, with detailed figures that visually map out the formation of optic sulci at the neural fold stage. For those interested in exploring this evidence further, I've compiled a PDF document with pertinent excerpts and figures from these textbooks here: www.medicovisual.com/112/files/65d65b2008d1a_1708546848_eye-optic-sulcus-references.pdf It is my hope that this resource will illuminate the foundational basis of my lecture and affirm the meticulous research that underpins it. It is with a sense of disappointment that I note the characterization of my work as 'misleading', given the careful and considered reliance on reputable, evidence-based sources. My aim has always been to present the most accurate, research-backed information available, fostering an environment of learning and discovery. Embarking on the journey of understanding embryology is no small feat, and I commend all who engage with this complex field with an open and inquisitive mind. Let us continue to dialogue and dissect these intricate processes with respect and a mutual desire to uncover the truths of human development.
