It has to be pointed out that NONE of these are actually 3D. They employ a trick called "forced perspective" against a curved screen. These displays really only work if you're standing at exactly the right place so the perspectives work right. The reason the images seem to be able to lean out of the display is because if you look closely, you'll notice that the working areas are smaller than the screens and they replicate the view behind them (again, this only works if you're in exactly the right place) giving the illusion of empty space. It's a clever trick, but it's not 3D. it's just a regular 2D image bent around a box to give the illusion of 3D.

These 3D billboards have spread worldwide, and several can be seen in Times Square, Las Vegas, Manila, Seoul, London, Paris, and the Nike Cat display in Tokyo is very popular, and no one needs anything more than two eyes to see the effect. The best ones are in China, and all use the same display principles as TheoWerewolf kindly describes above. There is also a video posted where someone presents a tutorial on how to create the effect in Blender.

It's not "3D tech" it's just a video. You can use any video display. The display configuration and point of view of the viewer is the only difference. The "magic" is in the video and it's creators.

It's not really 3D, it's a completely flat, 2D video. The optical illusion (3D effect) is achieved by creating "fake" screen edges inside the actual physical frame edges, the main focal object moves along a 2D path which overlaps the "fake" frame edge, creating the illusion the the object is escaping the bounds of the frame.
