We really hope you enjoyed this flight! Let us know if this format works, and what you’d like to see next! We’ve got warbirds and more in the hanger! Thank you friends ❤️

WOW! Great video and narration. Another newbie here. Would you recommend any specific KZbin videos for learning the 3D aerobatics you demonstrated? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. All the best to you.

Thank you very much John! A lot has been learned from our kind friends at the field and good old stick time (especially on the sim 😂) Michael Wargo, Two Brothers rc, and others on YT have helped too! Thanks for watching 🙂👍🏼

Helo from france , beautifull idea ..i like your life view about ..rc spirit progress ..My question is ...I have two models the Trojan T28 1.1 and the easy glider ....so i fly without any control systhem ok ? can i used this plane on basic mode with a simple turnigy controleur ..no assisatnce or save select ... the reason is to stay on the pure flying progression ..slowly ..try to endurstand ...and accepting the eventuel probleme in the air . Sorry for my bad english ..and thanks for your response .

Hello friend! 🙋‍♂️ Thank you for watching! If you are asking if you can put your own receiver on the Eratix and find success, then yes! I have a few other balsa wood 3d planes that I fly without any stabilizer or assistance, and I very much enjoy flying like this as well! The help AS3X provides to a beginner is very valuable, but for a more connected feel, and pure flying experience, I do recommend no stabilizer! I have really come to enjoy flying without one, as I can feel what the plane is doing much better.

Awesome video, I was curious if you were flipping safe when you got low, or was this pure as3x? Either way great flight

Thank you friend! No SAFE for me! I followed wise advice months ago to make the switch and commit, and flying has completely changed for the better. Confidence is so important to me for a successful flight, and having safe as a backup constantly really slowed down progression and left me questioning and second guessing. I’ve had more close calls than I can count but I fought em all the way to the ground and won a few 😂 Thanks again for watching friend 👍🏼

Thank you friend! I’m obsessed. Flying is like the medication my brain needs lol. I spend about 20 minutes every night on Real Flight trying something hard and new. First hover, then knife edging, then point rolls, and on. It all started though with ballin her up 5 mistakes high and figuring out orientation and how to come out of it, over, and over, and over, and over. Can you hover? If not, fire up that sim and crash till you can hover canopy towards you. I feel like learning to hover early rapidly accelerated my understanding of rudder and control. After that everything started to feel very different more connected! Let me know how I can help friend! I’m putting out a aerobatics video this weekend with the Eratix but I’m no teacher yet as I still have sooo much to learn myself lol

just subbbed,thnx for sharing, i just bought the eratix, i was running 100/0 now with your suggests im going to run the 70/65 any source for the 3d stuff to learn off of?, i threw the insta360 go 2 action cam on the eratix, i have a vid on my channel🛩🛩🛩

After much time in the sim I’m up to 100% throws digitally with 60% expo! 🫣Haha getting used to that much elevator throw was the most difficult, as I just stalled her out every time I’d get close to the ground lol. The expo helps soften up the initial stroke of the stick immensely, but too much can create a “wall” so to speak that will cause a very aggressive increase in rates midway through the stick movement. So play with it between 40-60% and see what feels best! I’m still at only 80 on the ailerons though! I’ve got some very good teachers at my local club that have helped me a lot and I’ve watched a fair amount of @michaelwargo and others on YT as well. I’ll be posting another vid of the Eratix and my progress learning to knife edge and flat spin this week, and I hope to start using a stick cam and trying to teach what I’ve been learning! That sounds rad! It had to feel pretty heavy with that thing on there haha! I’ll check it out! Thanks for watching friend! 🙂👍🏼

Really enjoyed this video! How long have you been flying 3D? I recently got myself a Crack Yak and it's been an absolute blast, still just Hovers and Harriers for the moment, very little space to work with. Hoping to master the Rolling Harrier one day :D
@honeywoodhobby
@honeywoodhobby 11 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! I've been flying since about May of this year, and started 3D on the simulator nearly from the start, as an attempt to force myself to learn how to use the rudder lol. I cannot rolling harrier for the life of me 😂😂 maaaaybe one rotation and then GROUND POUND haha. I really just need to order a Crack Yak already too after constantly hearing how great it is!

@@honeywoodhobby It really is worth it, relatively inexpensive and assembly is a breeze! For the knife edge spins, I imagine you practiced in the simulator first, could you maybe point me to a video or website that helped you learn that maneuver?
@honeywoodhobby
@honeywoodhobby 11 ай бұрын
That's awesome! I may have to build one this winter now haha I actually learned the KE spin accidentally when snap rolling into some out of control tumbly stuff LOL. Honestly did it IRL and then tried it in the sim to see if the sim was accurate 🤣 For me it's been about timing and feel. I've been practicing trying to cleanly enter them on a down line by rolling into it, bringing the tail down and around with rudder, and getting on the down elevator and throttle hard. I've watched a number of things by Michael Wargo, RC AIR, Two Brothers since trying to figure out what I'm doing as well! Hard for me to translate what my hands are instinctively doing into words at the moment, but I'm learning! haha. Thanks again for watching friend!

I wanted to say, crack yak is also on my list. But the crack laser lite I believe is almost the same plane. And I have two of those. They are also very similar to the eratix except lighter. But for the money, I think the eratix is the best value I've seen in this kind of plane. A little heavy for indoor flying though. That's why I have the other foamies.

Good stuff. On this video you landed shortly after the telemetry warning. If I did that I would get a two minute flight. So I have to ignore the telemetry warning for another three minutes or so while I'm practicing my knife spins. Lol

Thank you 👍🏼 Haha it’s an awesome plane that you won’t be too afraid to put down for sure! I still get sweaty palms with my Extra 300 and I’ve got the rates way dumbed down on that thing too. But, since flying the Eratix my confidence has soared with the 300 and I maaaaay be looking into a 60’ balsa bird this winter 🫣 Have some hinge tape or packaging tape on hand + foam tac and you can fix most anything with this one 😎 Thank you for watching friend! I’ll be publishing a mix of some Eratix flights soon! 👍🏼
