These hologram projects never cease to amaze me! But how do you make it so that the shape is still visible like this? Is it a certain type or viscosity of resin? Most epoxy resins I've used blend almost perfectly with previously poured layers and such, so that seams are pretty much invisible. So I would be afraid that it would completely make the figure 'disappear'.
@jedrek29tАй бұрын
I use resin for deep casting Let's Resin. Link in the description
@toslverrАй бұрын
@@jedrek29t I checked it out shortly after posting, haha. Perhaps I'll give it a try and see for myself! Perhaps it depends on what type of project the resin is marketed for. Some resin types are made for larger projects that require multiple pours and thus are designed to blend perfectly, while others, such as perhaps the one in your bio, are meant for small projects that prioritize a hard and super clear finish and ease of use (things like a shorter curing time or perhaps easier to make bubble-free) I'm just speculating at this point, of course. Thanks for the info and amazing videos!

Hello, I attempted to do this based on your previous videos. However, When I cast my figure with the resin, then used the same resin to fill in the cube. When I applied the light under it, the figure shape did not appear. It looked as though all of the resin was poured at the same time. Do you do something special to the figure to allow it to show up when an LED is applied? Is it a coating, or some kind of sanding? I noticed that the shark in this video looked a little opaque as if it was coated or sanded. Any help would be appreciated.
@jedrek29tАй бұрын
I do not know why but when I shine a bright led (white or yellow) the object is invisible. Blue light works best. And the best UV light
@BKISHDROIDАй бұрын
@@jedrek29t But I noticed that when you fill the resin with the object in the middle, you can still ever so slightly see it. When I do this in my case, the object completely disappears. Is there something you are doing to allow the object to ever so lightly be seen when filling in the resin around it?
@jedrek29tАй бұрын
You can teach me this 😁 I would like the object to be invisible. Maybe you use a different resin than I do

I love your little works, and always wonder what you are going to come up with. Do you now ever work without 3D printing at all? I'm looking at doing something with a group of Boy Scouts(we are in Australia so we are known as Scouts Australia) in the 11 - 14 year age bracket, but our little group cannot afford a 3D printer. Keep up your work, it is always an honour and a pleasure to watch your works come to life. Hooroo for now from Down Under.
