I tried this last fall on My best bud’s BMW. I used a 3401, Chemical Guys white pad. It did a nice job. Car pro eraser followed this along with soft99 to finish things off. I’ll use it again.

Your products are just mindblowing! I first tried HD SPEED and I was blown away. Very good polishing and not that much fillers. Great shine from montan wax. Than 3D ONE...especially on panels like aluminum, plastic, carbon fiber where the heat is not dispersed...3d one is not 'melting' or dissapearing, or drying. totally esy to wipe off. mindblowing shine, and then checking with Gtechniq panel wipe, which is really unforgiving...nothing! Zero difference! the same intensity the same shine. Respect :)

Donald- I have a semi I'm looking for some correction and polishing not for perfection if I use the k156 medium pad with 3D One will I achieve some correction with a finished glossy look, with no micro maring? I will be using a rotary polisher. Thank you I've been a fan of 3D for years now.
@3DCarCare5 жыл бұрын
You would need to try it out on a small area first, to see if you are getting any micro-marring. A lot of it depends on the hardness of the clear. You should get good results with a medium pad and 3D ONE.

Pretty oily upon removal. Not saying fillers, but definitely need an IPA wipe to remove those oils to reveal true finish.

QwikSS Always IPA after compounding for your lsp to stick to surface and longevity of lsp
@qwikss75226 жыл бұрын
OGCONSUMER I’m aware of that and I’m not saying there’s any fillers. My main point is that ONE is an oily polish, generally speaking. Even when using little. Not a bad thing, it’s just an IPA wipe is needed to remove those oils so you can see the true finish.

@@OGCONSUMER - You only need to do that if the lsp manufacturer recommends it. In other cases, any "glazing" left behind actually aids in bonding. www.autogeekonline.net/forum/hot-topics-and-frequently-asked-questions/31186-miscible-immiscible-wax-paint-sealant-bonding.html

Could this cause haze using it with a chemical guys orange hex pad ?
@danlc954 жыл бұрын
Probably not, but it depends a lot on your paint hardness. That pad once moist with product is actually very gentle. You'd be more at risk with the green, because it still is coarse with product on it.
@rhodycars60582 жыл бұрын
What pad would you recommend to use as a All in one?
@danlc952 жыл бұрын
I like to use a pad similar to their light purple polishing pad. The ones I use are the yellow or dark blue Buff and Shine. The Buff and Shine Uro-Fiber Finisher (all black fibers) pad is also very good in that capacity.
