@matisse beck pretty sure he just free handed them with the 3d pen. though but you wanted to print them you could always print it in a sliced sheet to print the various shapes and colors to put together later. in fact I'm sure he has a video that allows to do something pretty similar. What plastic do you usually use for pens? My preferable one is ABS, because it melts pretty well at 210°C and hardens almost instantly. It's also pretty strong. I sometimes also use PLA, it takes a bit longer to dry but that means you can still form it a bit after it comes out.
