3D Printed CETME C Bending Jig

I had that exact jig made, IE 3D printed in black plastic by a local gun shop. Very inexpensive and easy to use. I am bending my first flat with this jig hopefully soon.

I've used it before, but my Wire MIG keeps eating through the test pieces I have so I can't use it to weld the receiver, I need to buy a TIG but I'm on the fence cause if I'm only going to use it once to build a CETME it's not worth the Investment buying a TIG. So I bought an already Completed Receiver to finish my build until I decided to buy a TIG. Good Luck with your build!

I know what you mean. I only have a lowly flux core welder, which certainly will work for this receiver but is not ideal. First test weld blew directly through the metal, after some trial and error I was able to get it to work. It doesn’t make for the prettiest welds, but it will hold. Been super busy recently but should be getting mine welded up and finished here shortly.

What settings were you using on the welder? Sometimes making a backer/heat sink helps too for the thin stuff.

Did you also use the printed filler pieces? (Ones that go on the sides of the receiver)

You check the ID on that upper and lower bend radius?

I did not. Let me know what they should be and I can certainly try to grab some measurements.

@@SMR-Tactical 20mm ID on the upper part of the receiver, 39mm ID on the lower. Hope that helps.

Neither are in sellable condition, and I definitely wouldn’t feel right selling you one as a result. But if I get the chance to have some more printed i will absolutely let you know.
