I really like the stepping mechanism used in ballpoint pens 🙂 The reset function could be made so that there is a guide track running in a V-shaped circle on the inner side of the number rings and if you push a control rod, it turns it back to zero. It would rotate between 1-4 backwards, between 5-9 forwards. I couldn't find a video exactly like this, but I was thinking of something similar, but with the control track open from one direction. kzbin.infoA5fZrWhPO_Y

@@ItsVypo I used 9x35mm spring. Probably anything near that size goes. My spring came with a spring assortment which I bought from local hardware store.

@@fpskoda467 "can't be set upright on a table" is such a BS argument. Adding feet or a flat platform to the casing is a matter of about 30 seconds in the editor. This model is easy to print and assemble unlike many other mechanical counters out there. The only real downside is the lack of reset.
