Hello Dave very cool 3D printed model. enough room to add a decoder and some lights inside. Very cool running
@dbtech791411 ай бұрын
Thanks! I'll have the files on Thingiverse soon and send them to you also. I had a few people tell me it needs a decoder. I'll look into that.

Howdy Dave! First off... you have way too much time on your hands...😂 Second - that is about the coolest home built custom accessory I think I have ever seen! What a fun little project! Would make cousin Eddie proud! In fact, if cousin Eddie was a hobo, this would be his ride lol. Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠

That's pretty funny. Actually made me laugh out loud. I had one or two people tell me that before, but it doesn't seem like it is the case. Thanks for watching and glad you liked it. When I come up with an idea I have to figure it out and finish it. I'll have to remember to put the files on Thingiverse.

Great job, Dave. Can you print me one in N scale? That there's an RV... Don't you go falling in love with it now, because we're taking it with us when we leave here next month. 😂 Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍

LOL! One of my favorite movies. Now that's a challenge to print it in N gauge. I might be able to use a Life-Like motor and gears? Maybe I'll try that.

Thanks Jub. It needed a little bit of weight, but it is fast.

LOL! I would like to see the original one from the movie. Once I had an idea, I had to make it happen. Thanks! Hope to see you soon at the next train show. Allentown or Kutztown.

@@dbtech7914 ah, I didn't realize that was from a movie. For now I'm scheduled to work at the RBMN table at the Allentown show Saturday, so stop by to say "hi."

That's really cool. I missed that one. I was thinking of getting a 3D printer sometime. I saw somebody on Facebook had one for sale and I was questioning whether I should get one with the space I have. Because I can make some Athearn heavyweight coaches or spare parts. I looked online somebody has the files to make freight cars etc. All you got to do is print them out but I just don't know what is the better product out there but gotta do more research

Thanks. 3D printing is a fun hobby. You can get a good one for $200 to $300. You can print a lot of things like train cars and buildings. A filament printer is not the best thing for printing small detailed parts. You can find a lot of files on Thingiverse.

@@dbtech7914 I seen that detail parts are not it's strong point. However building train cars buildings and maybe other stuff like try to make eh whatever I can try lol. I know they are fairly big and take a long time to print especially if you have something fairly big. I was thinking about like the interior of a Athearn passenger car. Printing them vs buying them outright. It's something I've always had a interest in especially when I seen they had at the Amherst train show last year a dealer that had a 3 d gondola and said they do that stuff for a business, or they were showing so you can see how advanced things have gone. I appreciate the input. I've seen Sam's trains having one and I'm just looking at prices,brands reliability etc. One was on Facebook and was going for $50 and was gone quick. It was a small enclosed printer with nothing wrong but being not used alot
