Bonsoir Matthieu, j'adore la grande table de travail avec les roulettes, le profil en aluminium fantastique !mais c'est une vraie usine à la maison 🤣🤣

The silent board is amazing..! Seriously.. Well worth it. My 5plus became usable in the living room after it.. Before it I just couldn't stand the noise in the flat.. 😅
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын
watched some video's about that silent board, and is a good improvement indeed! As for me I'm not going to spend more on this printer as I don't really mind the noise as I have my printers in my workshop and it's always noisy here anyways :D

Very nice enclosure! If you want to print abs in the future you do need about 50°C in the enclosure. So you will have to seal it better, or add a heater. I would recommend sealing though :)
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын
I've read about that, I'll probably add some ventilation and heating, still a bit worried about the electronics inside the enclosure, so might need to figure out how to move the to the outside of the enclosure, and like you've mentioned, seal the enclosure even better would help as well!
@Rein-hg9in2 жыл бұрын
@@MatthieuLibeert yeah, the electronics is a good one. At the temperatures for abs the mainboard should be fine. But the temperature will shorten the life spand of the power supply. So it may be worth it mount the power supply outside of the enclosure. Another benefit of the extrusions, you can just print a mount for whatever you want. 😅

@@MatthieuLibeert Ive had solid results with printing ABS/polycarbonate/carbonfiber materials in an enclosure via using heat reflective materials on walls/ roof to trap the heat produced by the printers. for the electronics overheating aspect Ive had great luck using a bigger fan that is able to be programmed to turning on at certain temps in the environment( had stepper motor driver probs from overheating due to lack of cooling) this greatly improved print quality. my enclosures are much smaller than yours ( for Pulse XE, ender 3 v2. ) Ive found only way to move electronics to exterior is obviously extending cables to route to the outside or close to the outside, still enclosed but with external fans mounted from outside facing inwards at electronics. I'm sure youve contemplated these, I found them to be beneficial.

The final result looks great. Do the hinges self-close so the door stays shut, or did you have to fasten a clasping mechanism? Thanks!

Cool Matt....... I'm about to build a new workbench and enclosure for my 3d printers. I've pre ordered the new Prusa XL to go with my mk3s. Maybe I can incorporate some of your ideas for the enclosure 🤓 and yes, plexiglass aswell as normal glass has increased in cost by four times since the start of covid😒

I really enjoyed building it and would recommend everyone to do so! It's not the cheapest option but like I've mentioned in the video, I enjoy the many options and modularity of this system! Correct, the raw material prices went up a lot! the MDF wood that I've used for the shelves was X4 compared to a good year ago

@@MatthieuLibeert I finally got around to ordering the aluminium t slot extrusions...... I got 10 3m lengths and with fitting it cost £945 delivered😳

How do you frame the panels into the extrusions? Any seal strips as well?

Hi Thanks for the video. I have a doubt. When u build such a tall shelf with this 8020 did u feel any sort of instability? I was thinking to make one shelf for my fish room with size of 75”x20”x90” (l x w x h) do u think it can hold them.?

You really should move all the electronics that are at the bottom outside of the actual enclosure. Perhaps think about making a box underneath to house it.

How did you get your filament tube to stay standing up so nicely?
@NicksStuff2 жыл бұрын
You should probably install two doors to access a printer while the other is printing ABS.

Glass is a terrible option. It does not have sound insulation properties unless you're going with very expensive glass. It's also quite easy to crack or shatter it. The right option would be polycarbonate. It's very strong and provides excellent acoustic insulation. It's also a self extinguishing material. It's widely used in industrial machinery.

@@MartinFranz3 You're a dimwit. The entire purpose of the enclosure is soundproofing. Glass is not a very good soundproofing material and thus defeats the purpose. Polycarbonate has a much better combustibility grade over acrylic. Plus, you can get flame retardant polycarbonate. It has excellent soundproofing properties. Yes, I do know. Go read a book.

That is too big, if you will print abs you need approx 45 degrees celsius in box. you will heat it up forewer. also you should have 2 separate doors. You will see after a while that you need to redo that
@MatthieuLibeert2 жыл бұрын
I now get 35°c stable with just the printing beds heating the space. The enclosure still has gaps here and there so 45°c shouldn't be a big issue 🙂
