thanks for the info. got 017 grey from rapido. did not match the kato color. however I was able to use tamiya flat white to match. after experimenting with mix I came up with this formula, using a glass eye dropper I came up with 41 drops tamiya flat white and 6 drops rapido 17. the kato color must be very light. thanks for u taking the time to help me Barry

No problem. Sounds like the Kato colour may be a lot closer to white than the 017 CN Lettering Grey from Rapido. All I can say is the Rapido paint is accurate. I have a lot of CN stuff myself from a few manufacturers, and there are variations in colour.

I wouldn't mind getting a printer but I'm not very good with computers. I have never tried writing code or have any skills in that area. Maybe one day. Please share how it works in the future. Thanks, Chris

Thanks Chris. You don't need to worry about writing code with this, but learning 3d drawing programs or CAD (Computer Aided Design) programs are definitely part of it. I'm happy to share stuff. I've done a few test prints, some worked, some didn't. So even in the stuff that didn't work, there's stuff to learn.

great show. do u have any idea how to match the gray paint on the CN Transcontinental passenger cars or what color is used? It looks like a very light gray. thank you. I live in a condo and the elegoo printer has a resin smell. How bad is it?

I will let you know about the smell in the next video. I understand that some resins are smellier than others. As for the grey paint on the CN Transcontinental, Rapido Trains "Proto-Paint" colours have a an exact match: "CN Lettering Grey" rapidotrains.com/products/parts-accessories/protopaint/rapido-protopaint - Don't be deceived by the sample colour on the website, it is an exact match. I used it on the CN Passenger Car video.

With the sale on the anycubic photon printers, what was your decisioning behind the Elegoo? I picked up a photon but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I also picked up one of the soy based resins. Have you thought of using those for lack of VOC's and odor?

In my case, the Anycubic sale was not available in Canada; I did look at it. That was a factor, but the reviews on the Mars Pro have also been very good. I've been doing some research on different resin types. I think the soy-based ones may be worth looking at.
