Hello its Ali, in todays video i will show you the prosses of how to design car body with sketchup, printing with Creality Ender 3 3D Printer, and painting// show How to 3d print rc car body 3D printing 10th scale C8 Corvette with less amount of supports, and i used more sanding to make the body smooth as possible to remove all the print layer lines
the 10th scale C8 Corvette wheelbase is 262mm and 200mm width

have you tried doing a vacuum plastic on one of your 3d printed bodies. not sure if it will work out but could be a fun project to try. cheers!

seeing how you print you could benefit from doing american muscle cars. for example: the camaro and firebird is the same car in the middle . just need to create different front and back and maybe some details. i think you get my point. the lexan bodies could be sold to pay alittle for your hobby. good luck.

Nice body. i Like the mustang but this body looks more. I have a question, i know you use PLA. I can use PETG for the body.

Yes you can, but working with pla much easier for sanding otherwise petg much stronger

The C8 Corvette is awesome, bro why don't you just use the 3D printed pieces as a plug to make lexan bodies that way you can have more than one body, perhaps sell them on ebay under a new name instead of corvette, I would definitely purchase one.I need to get a 3d printer I have so many freaking ideas!

Have you tried using the translucent filaments to see what the results you would get or at most the tail-lights or front lights?

Yes, I printed a set, but not that good, testing some more ways, to get a clear glass

@@scaleaddiction Try printing out the inner mold of the piece that would fit into the cavity of the tail/front lights, get some small pieces/flat sheet of lexan clear plastic, place over the printed part and see if you can use a heat gun/hair dryer over it to melt it over the inner piece to form a shell...not saying it may work but worth a try...

Not good for nitro, and yes it will crack if u hit it hard, unless its PETG filament
