more then likely they suck the liquid back out of the chamber leaving the printed part and do the post curing and processing in the same chamber.

@3DPrintingNerd I need your help, I am a 16 year old who has put easily over 1000 dollars in my printer, I’ve come across an issue recently that no one seems to know what is and it won’t go away I’ve spent weeks after weeks trying to get it to work going inside and out of the thing. I need advice from someone who has probably been through the bare bone of printers, heck I’d come drive to you at this point with the amount of money I’ve put in this, I know what you think, it’s probably just some easy fix nothing bad, trust me it’s not. The people of Reddit can’t even help me, I’ve done everything I can taken every piece of advice g code, slicer settings, new parts, tightening and adjusting the printer, you name it, I’ve done it. Please get this to 3D Printing nerd. He may be my last hope 😅

It is still easier for me to imagine (for example) the extraction of methane on Mars to decompose it into ethylene for further processing into polyethylene for FFF printing than the production of some complex polymer resin on another planet. although the prospect of using one substance to print integrated circuits, teeth, wheels and pipe cleaning is very tempting.

Cool printer. Maybe you buried the lede. 🙂 "This thing prints, post processes and cures in a little over 2 minutes". Just as well as the Virgin Galactic only experiences zero g for 10 to 15 minutes.
@Aussiemoo3 ай бұрын
@@DeclanMBrennan think it's "the lede" :)
@DeclanMBrennan3 ай бұрын
@@Aussiemoo Thanks for the correction. I've had that phrase wrong forever. Here is what "Proofed" has to say about it: Both “bury the lede” and “bury the lead” are acceptable spellings of this phrase. However, “lede” is the journalistic spelling that originated in newsrooms in the mid-20th century. It was created to avoid confusion with “lead,” the metal traditionally used in printing presses.

Cool concept, and great work, but I can certainly tell they used that bed slinger to make the parts for it, print quality is a little rough, I would have used a good 3D printer and engineering grade plastics to make the prototype, probably would have used compression fittings instead of cable ties for the hosing, I assume the team building this are all young students, they probably could have used some input from some older mechanical engineers and mechanical fitters, but once again, great work.

This is literally the first real steps towards what previous NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine was talking about when he was constantly championing NASA's partnerships with the commercial crew program and how that would ultimately lead to the orbital and moon economies where we'll be able to do manufacturing and medical research the likes of which are literally impossible to do here on Earth.
