This is sick! I have watched several build videos of this prop from other makers, and their finished paint looks okay, but this is set ready! Great job!

Your paint skills are as much appreciated as the way you do these builds. I love it! The faux wood finish on this piece is amazing.

Thanks! I want to make all aspects of a build accessible to people no matter what level of skill they may have. Some very simple techniques can give some amazing paint finishes:)

I like to use E6000 with a bit of CA glue around the edges, so that way I don't have to sit there and hold it. The CA glue dries and allows the E6000 to cure as well. Nice work on this! I've been wanting to do one of my own

That's what I usually do as well. I didn't have the time to keep working on it, so I thought I would use more E6000 than normal, since I had to walk away from it:) Thanks, and go for it this is a great file to use!

Perfect video!! Been using this video a lot to help with assembly and how to paint. Sadly Krylon Kamar Varnish has been out of stock lately so I am going to try Winsor & Newton gloss Varnish. Hopefully works. Keep up the great work with the videos. ( P.S. Saw you almost messed up the placement of the cannon plaque during assembly but saw you fixed it when you sprayed the primer lol.)

Thanks! I'm thrilled this video has been helping with your build! The Winsor & Newton should work. If you are looking to reduce the amount of final shine in the end, I recommend looking at their Matte Varnish. I used a drawing varnish because I wanted to protect the paint and graphite, but I didn't want to add too much of a shine.

Hi, my blaster came out pretty good with your instructions but unfortunately using MTM acrylic varnish some places it looks bad, something has gone wrong . Any way to fix varnish? I don’t think I can add a picture here of what happened. But instructions are great, I had never done a thing like this and with your instructions before varnishing it looked amazing.

Thank you I'm glad you found the instructions so helpful! I've never used that type of varnish before. There are several things I can think of that might work. 1, a second lighter coat of the varnish might even out the spots. 2, lightly sand the existing varnish with some 400 or 600 grit sandpaper and reapply. Or 3, repaint on top of the varnish, let it dry, and reapply the varnish. I hope this is helpful!!!!
