I envy others that can 3D print parts to repair toys and such things,I wish could learn that craft ,it would help buying missing parts ,real nice Slave 1 restoration another toy ready for more future adventures

You could thermoform a canopy using the original as a mould, I'm doing this with a very old 1/8 vacuform kit of Robby the Robot from the movie Forbidden Planet. His dome is yellowed and cracked so I'm printing a new one from a model on thingiverse and using heavy duty blow mould packaging from something at the supermarket. An old vacuum cleaner provides the suction, a heat gun paint stripper provides the heat and I made a box with a drilled top out of old MDF I had lying around. I'm also going to try spray putty for the parts that come out with obvious layer lines, I hope it works.

Hello, I recently bought a Slave 1 ramp & it costed $75! It’s a mat black color just like the Carbonite Solo… Could u use ur Slave 1 windshield to make a durable (flexible, somewhat) copy by casting a mold of it? Or can u print a clear, (I know it’s curved) copy of it? How about a glow in the dark 3D print? Good video answer or only worthy of a text?

what paint did you use?

I used citadel colour contrast undercoat spray. It was the closest colour I had in a can. Cheers for watching :)
