learned a lot but please let me know why my phtoshop doesn't show handles to move the shadow whenever you drag those handles for the infinite light section. whenever i press infinite light, there are no handles to move the shadows. i use photoshop beta 24

Can't even get the 3D features to work at the moment with GPU on as I am on the M1 Mac, you get 3D but the controls seem to not do anything. Certain that will be fixed at some point - Good video. I always found the render option annoying as you never know how long it will take

For Photoshop users in 2023-2024: This "New 3D Extrusion from Selected Layer" is no longer available in Right Click drop-down menu. You have to select the layer and then go up to the top menu bar and select '3D', then the dropdown menu will have "New 3D Extrusion from Selected Layer" located there. Adobe says all 3D options within Photoshop will be removed in future versions because they want to force us to use their Substance 3D Software instead. Classic Adobe "fixing" shit that isn't broken.

Nice video, I'm having a problem when I merge the two layers together. When I combine the background and 3d text layers together, the text layer wants to go way up to the top left corner of the image, almost out of sight. Has anyone else had that problem?

No. I believe it just becomes a pixel layer. If you change the font, the shadows need to also change, which needs a new render.
