helped me a lot in understanding geometric position of bilaminar disc but I have a question what is the orientation of this bilaminar disk in the womb. is it vertical or horizontal?
@MedicoVisual4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. Great question Osama. Orientation does not really matter at this stage. It could be any. (Well honestly speaking, there is no mention of orientation at this stage, in literature). The reason is that during the development, embryo/fetus keeps on changing his/her position and thus orientation, till near the end of the term when it gets fixed in a normal cephalic presentation (head towards the cervical os) or sometimes atypical positions like breach presentation. So, in short, orientation during early development is technically out of question.
