The mighty Compadre got me into the hobby many many years ago, I’ll never forget her and thank her for the many faithful years of finds. I wouldn’t trade my D2 for it, but she has a nice place in my office in the corner, giving me many reflections on the amazing things Ive found with her. It’s a hobby, have fun and use it as you will.

Nice video, Paul. I think the issue is often, "ya just don't know what ya don't know." If you have a detector that unmasks poorly in iron, you'll walk right over targets and never hear them. Especially if you're using a big coil and going fast. Or any detector, for that matter.

"Age doesn't matter, as long as you're up to it": Mick: at age 52. I reckon that The Stones are a bit like Marmite: Dark and very rich. They also perform and make noises that you either really enjoy, in certain places; or you don't. Far better then 'Get off my Cloud', than "The Clangers", bloop-bloop, woop-bloo-blooing ,all, of the time. I like Marmite, specifically on thin-ish toast, it works tidy, on that: I find.

I never feel out gunned when I take my 30 year old Tesoro's in the field especially hunting in extreme trashy areas. Paul I know the sound you are listening for when recovering masked targets with the Tesoro...same sound I'm listening for and it works. Anybody that thinks their digital machines aren't going to ever miss any targets need to think again cause that is BS! The old saying "no site is ever worked out" is still true today...way too many variables in detecting.

Paul have you ever tried the tests with the whites classic series?

Hi Scott I don't have any Whites machines

@@paulwarrenmetaldetecting ok. I’ve been using the whites analog machines with the sniper coils in the trash and they work good. But I want to get a Tesoro to compare. 😊

Hmm that sounds wicked I might have to track one down

YES…. Another brilliant unmasking video of the outdated tech. I heard the comments are speaking of, and it has become quite boring. I personally can care less who believes that Tesoro’s unmask brilliantly in specific applications. Your real life foreshore hunting videos have inspired me to try Tesoro’s on foreshores here in New York loaded with iron trash, hot rocks, iron slag, etc.. I have been finding coins and other items that I have not found before using one of my digital machines. Using Tesoro and Nexus has opened up a new world of detecting for me that otherwise wouldn’t exist and can’t exist with digital machines. Would you use a screwdriver as a hammer? I suppose you can, but it’s not the right tool for the job….. No machine is end all be all, people need to LOOK at how specific Metal Detectors perform in REAL HUNTING situations. KZbin can sometimes come in handy to learn but there’s more BS on there than real information. Most importantly you really have to be out there doing it yourself…. Oh, where does the drama end with the clowns looking for pats on the back for their brilliant insight negotiating digital menus on Metal Detectors…. Sorry, rant over.

Most of the knockers more than likely never owned or really used those machines to their full potential, no screen no good 😮😮😮

Hi paul Hello, have you ever tried Toltec Treasure 2?
@paulwarrenmetaldetecting10 күн бұрын
Hi no I haven't, sound interesting though, do you have an opportunity to get one ?

@paulwarrenmetaldetecting I have a friend who has one and maybe I'll buy it from him later. He uses analog a lot. I think he also has some compas and tesoros detectors.

The problem with the "old" is a "software" point of view... let me explain: Companies convince people that the new is allways better than the old, because people like to believe that companies want you to have better products. This is fake !!! companies are not "evil" they have to live so they make things for they convenience... for instance if it was more cheap build stuff with vacuum tubes today we will go hunting with a vacuum tube metal detector. I'm a Tesoro user, start with them and stick with them. I'm a "heavy trashy sites" hunter and can confirm all your statements. For me discrimination doesn't matter because I hunt in "layers" starting from pull-tab and go down every time i scan a little area.. I have cleaned up severeal places like this.. so time after time I remove everithing accessing the deepest layers.
