AMEN to that intro! Love that old Navy button… and how you identified it as a masked target and showing the iron culprit. Thanks for all your videos and opening up my mind to the analog world of detecting. Learning two Nexus machines this past year has been a real eye opener for me. I never thought I’d be using Tesoro machines either but they have been incredible on my brackish foreshore here in NY. Cheers and Merry Christmas 🎄

Best wishes for the season Thanks for the videos I have continued on with my learning curve into single frequency detection with your informative videos and blogs I've been using this type of detector since 1976 when I started with a Joan Allen IB hard wired coil and my very first coin was a 1914 half penny And as has been said many times before the rest is history Thanks again buddy

Something interesting I learned about the lobo that made me not want one is that the discrimination mode does not utilize the automatic ground balance. It uses a fixed ground balance. That means if you’re switching the coil out from the one it comes with, you’ll have to have the internal ground balance adjusted.

You'ld rather be metal detecting, but Tesoro rain covers can only do so much? Also, you're making them more expensive and harder to find...so thanks for nothing (sarc).

I hope you are free soon 😃 … anyway it appears the analogue debate has moved on… it appears pummelling the Garrett Vortex is the latest fashion.
@leerobinson87096 күн бұрын
At least Garrett got the marketing right on their website. VX5 = Entry Level. VX7 = More powerful than VX5. VX9 = More powerful than VX7. Marketing for a world of which it's occupants can hardly complete reading a sentence without it wondering off... 10/10.

Somebody very kindly gave me a Tesoro side winder recently. It’s by my tv just sitting there. I love looking at it. It’s like looking at a classic BMX all black and gold. I’ve had it a few months now. Only realised the other day there’s a shaft missing, think it’s the top one. Bit gutted as I wanted to take it out. I started off 35 years ago with a whites coin master. Then got myself a fisher 1265 x which I loved. Had lots of machines since. Didn’t get on with Minelabs overly. I was sponsored by Nokta for a few years on my videos and wrote field tests for them for the Treasure Hunter. All the other testers ridiculed me when I’d point out obvious defects to the company. I found that all hilarious and one day before they were due to post me yet another machine I accused Turkey of war crimes and stayed up all night messaging Nokta in Turkey to that effect. Needless to say I didn’t get any more machines off them. I thought the Deus 2 was crap so ditched that and kept my lovely Deus 1 with HF coil. Sold loads of coins to get a manticore too. Plus I gave a night hawker a shout out on my channel and he generously donated £300 towards it. If I want anything these days I’ll ask my viewers if they want to chip in. Sometimes they do like when they bought me the Deus 2. I find it all very straight forward. They like my content cos I’m nuts. Regarding planting stuff, I only planted stuff once in one of my videos. Testing the Nokta something or other on the beach. My mate found two bits of junk jewellery with his Teknetics Euro Tek Pro. I planted them for the Nokta so we could get the F off that beach. I’d rather dig hammies and Roman brooches and stuff you see. These days Tom over at U.K. History Finders is my only sponsor. That’s cos he’s my mate and he 3 D prints me finds pods with my channel on. That I sell to anyone who is interested. I use the money to buy snide cigarettes. I’m a middle aged single Detectorist. I took offence for about a nano second with your intro. Then I remembered not to be a dick. I don’t do forums. In fact I only started my channel and my other online stuff as a reaction against those idiots. I never plant anything. Not even the gold coins or Viking axes. I once found a roman statue on Lindisfarne, Holy Island. It’s the only metallic Roman object been found there. Only a bit of Roman pot before that. I’m sorry to hear about your wife. I lost mine four years ago to cancer it suck’s. Don’t get bogged down in moaning about people planting stuff is my advice. I like to get drunk and stoned on my videos and call people names. I swear a lot too. It tends to keep viewers who like planted finds, away from my channel. Some git grassed me up though to the police who slapped a drugs marker on my car. Might be the same people watching my videos and trying to steal my farms. What they don’t realise is, you can’t keep a good man down. Hopefully you’ll find something nice soon so I can enjoy that moment.

My Silver Sabre Plus 2nd hand first quality detector, tuned by Pentechnic found my first Elizabeth 1st Hammered coin and then it went on to find my Bronze Age Axehead. I rated it. I believe they are good ones & bad ones.

Refreshing to see the reality of metal detecting. As you say, nothing planted. I've been going through my garden as it a good testing ground. Lots of fag packet foil and St. Ivel cheese triangle foil. But occasionally the odd interesting find. Lots of hand forged nails too, which keeps me going.
