your channel is really good, you're an extremely clear and detailed instructor who explains things to the full depth. other instructors on youtube are on average like 4-6/10 in terms of clarity, i'd give you a solid 8-9/10 you're super easy to follow, keep up the great videos, our community needs more quality guys like you

I have never been able to listen to anyone so clear and with instructions so well explained as the way this chap puts them over. In just a few lessons of listening I have learned so much! Thank you.

4:39 I spent around 3 days trying to find out what's wrong. I imported a car model to edit it. If I would delete some polygons and create new ones I would get that weird shading. Subdivision SOMEWHAT helped but it wouldn't completely fix it. I even tried it in blender and zmodeler. Finally found the answer, deleting that tag was all I needed! Thank you!

Thanks so much for your, as always, excellent tutorial. A quick question, wouldn't be better to use an infinite light for the sun rather than a regular light?

So what do I do when I import a model and all it's textures are gone ? this especially happens when importing 3ds files they either come in all black or white never as advertised What is a quick fix for that problem ? Do I need to study UV mapping in detail ?

Its going to be very different object by object. If there are no materials, selection tags or uv tags then all you can do it remake it yourself from scratch. As for UVs, again, it depends. In many cases just play with the project settings to pick between flat, cylindrical, cubic etc and you can get a long way. I'd reserve UVs for more annoying shapes and organic models.
