A lot of the time the game seemingly wasn't registering my inputs for certain moves until I finally got the hang of it. This port is pretty bad because the controller is terrible. I even bought a new controller to help and still had trouble

No way... This is real CD quality, with all the respect for FM Toen, but this is maybe the most highly quality soundtrack i ever heard in a 2d fighting game.
