I didn't like how Joel was getting resin everywhere with his gloves. It's best to leave the prints on the print bed and washing the parts, then take them off the print bed and clean them up. It reduces the amount of uncured resin you need to handle.
@variancehammer2463 жыл бұрын
Seriously. Watching him touch everything with "hot" gloves was giving me anxiety.
@TheSkullKing19113 жыл бұрын
Can't believe I had to scroll this far to see this. He touched every handle, the bust bases, all his tools with full on globs of resin everywhere. Straight up anxiety inducing. The whole point of putting the build plate straight into the wash and clean station is to avoid that amount of resin getting all over the place.

the 'pan' for the cleaner looks a lot like a 1/4 insert for a restraint prep station, if that is so you can get them from nearly ANY restaurant supply store... P.S. Sorry! too many years building models and painting cars, boats, and ships.... much, much further away from the thing you are painting, and LOTS, LESS paint on things, just DRIFT it onto the object (which will both give you a better paint finish, AND get it dry faster). P.S.S. What would happen if you put the thing being painted (coated VERY lightly in paint) on the finish station plate (if the UV would make it dry faster?

Maybe not for a home user, but... it's 3x faster or so! That's a huge deal for prototyping and companies. Taking models that need 10 hours to about 3. Add support to that and yeah, not too expensive at all anymore, especially for companies.
@shvrdavid3 жыл бұрын
I am not so sure that it really has a speed increase. There are plenty of resin printers that claim to be 3x faster. But 3x faster than what? Is it any faster than a Anycubic Photon for far less money, 4k screen, bigger print volume, etc? Nope, it's actually slower.
@VincentGroenewold3 жыл бұрын
@@shvrdavid For the same volume, it’s faster. Ofcourse you can fit more on a bigger plate..
@shvrdavid3 жыл бұрын
If you read the specs on both machines, the Photon is faster in every way. I would love to see a side by side of both printers. They both make the claim of being 3x faster than others. Both claim just over a second per layer, with a max of 2, etc. $2k is a lot to spend on a claim that the Prusa is going to be 3x faster than a Photon... 3x faster than a Photon would print approx. 180mm height an hour, at any volume...
@DesertRox3 жыл бұрын
@@shvrdavid totally agree, I do like Prusa's build quality. As a business owner that does prototyping I would rather have 4 machines that are slightly less fast having multiple iterations going for evaluation than a single one. As a business owner the only thing that grabs my attention is the claimed longevity of the screen life.
