3DS Max Arnold UV Pass and Cryptomatte Pass to After Effects Quick Start

this does not work for me in aftereffects it says no Crytomatte layer found and i have tried all that you are saying here but for some reason i dont get anything in AE

I've noticed with a recent version of Max to A 5.7.5, cryptomatte isn't working correctly.

@@timarnold8394 ah yes okay yeah i thought it might be a bug because i know i was doing it correct I am using the latest Arnold version 5.7.5.0 thank you for confirming that I have noticed a bunch of bugs in arnold for 3ds max. One major one is denoising aovs in arnold 3ds max it just doesnt work you only get the beauty pass denoised. I posted the question on the autodesk site and have not gotten a response as of yet this was about 2 weeks ago. I ended up just having to live with a bit of noise in the final render it wasnt too noticible but my render times were about 15 min a frame which I know for arnold is actually not that bad . I do wish Arnold was faster like vray I miss having 5 min render times per frame with the denoiser which works perfectly.I have been perfecting the ACES workflow with 3ds max arnold and aftereffects and got really nice results but still that denoising error is something I would love to figure out although I do think its a bug they have not fixed yet .

@@timarnold8394 ah yes i was thinking that it was probably a bug I have found a few bugs in arnold for 3ds max such as the denoiser doesnt denoise aovs only beauty pass. kinda sucks that no information gets saved to aftereffects so its unusable at the moment .
