#3dsMax 2023.1 - Vertex Paint modifier Capture
A new button is available called "Capture" which copies all of the existing vertex colors that exist under the current Vertex Paint modifier into this level. This will allow you to blur and work with the existing data easier.

Very cool, I find myself not using Vertex Paint as much as I probably should, need to find some good documentation or tutorials on some creative use cases of this tool.

How could you later add a different texture to each color? "mix" (or similar) does not only work with white and black values only? or did I miss something.
