Good afternoon Ceri and Kat. Thank you so much for watching. I'm not really a "gear review" kind of KZbinr but as I've had the tent for over a year, I thought why not, it won't hurt. I'm so pleased the clocks have sprung forward... might be time for a early evening walk shortly. Spring is on its way! xx

I’ve got one with the 2 season inner and love it. Had it out on Dartmoor on a windy night and despite the usual wind v trekking pole tent angst it did me proud

That’s really good to hear. I think a lot of people are put off this tent because it looks peculiar & never a 100% symmetrical. But it has lived up to my expectations 😄

I bought one in brown which I have used a few times. It does feel like a palace and I love the design. It is best on a well groomed pitch and not so handy when I back packed and found a lumpy pitch with thistles in the wind as the light was fading.. For that reason I will be going a little heavier and taking a free standing tent like the Mongar 2 ( 1.7kg in nylon version) next time. If you add the weight of the trekking poles to the tent there is little difference in weight. Anyway , I liked your video which was honest and interesting.
@ramblingracheltrailtales8 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting. I regret selling it. It had so much space for the weight and cost. A bit fiddly in the beginning, there’s definitely a nack to these types of tents. I am a fan of the trekking pole tent but appreciate it’s not for everyone. Have a good weekend.

i have exactly the same tent as well and i lurvs it … top tip is to use two sticks either on the side guy outs to pull the tent up and away creating even more room inside . the four season inner really works i measured the inside/ outside temperature on a chilly night and there was a 20F difference 46F / 26F 👍👍

It does keep alot of heat in during the winter. I've only had it out in about minus 2/3 Celius... I have know idea what that is in imperial measurements. It has frozen solid in the really cold weather but it coped well. The only thing is, I don't always use two trekking poles when I'm out hiking and camping. But it is a very good tent and great value for money. Have a great weekend Dave! x

Very comprehensive review Racheal and you cannot get much lighter that that for a tent. Nicely done setting up and a tab better than when you set it up in the garden lol. Funny how people come across on YT, I always thought you were quite tall and never guessed 5' 3" and to be honest, I would never use Ali Express. Thanks for the review! Have you camped in cold, snowy or humid conditions? If so, how have you found the condensation?
@ramblingracheltrailtales2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I camped in it, all four seasons, including up in the Lake District. Very happy with how it performed. Great ventilation in the summer with both side doors open. Condensation was present on some occasions but nothing major, condensation happens. I'd avoid extreme weather including strong winds and severe rain. It's not going to perform like a Hilleberg, but for the price, it's very good.

Hi, I no longer have the Lanshan, and I regret selling it. Brilliant tent. The summer was fine. As you can open the vestibules on both sides, it’s good for ventilation. I have since bought a different trekking pole but very similar to the Lanshan 1 😀
@antonslegers98882 жыл бұрын
Hi! Would there be a reason to buy the 3 season version over the 4 season version?
@ramblingracheltrailtales2 жыл бұрын
Main difference is the inner mess, it is thicker and the thicker mess section runs much higher up on the inner material. It’s quite hard to explain without a picture but it would had a little extra warmth in the colder months.
