Thanks for the video. Is that black plastic stuff you have over the battery factory or something you have added to, I assume, protect the battery from water leaking in?
@3ftDeepChannel6 жыл бұрын
It's something we added to keep water that may leak in from getting on the battery. Thanks for your comment.

It's some sheet PVC that I added in case the access panels leak the water will not get the electronics wet I have another piece over the iBR motor on the other side.

A question please: would i let my battery charging all the winter ?
@3ftDeepChannel9 ай бұрын
Yes, on a “trickle” charger.
@mdean12886 жыл бұрын
I like that little trickle charger. Ive been using the same trickle charger that i use on my suv. Is that too hot for that little battery in the Seadoo? On that note, is it safe to jump off my Seadoo from my suv or car?
@3ftDeepChannel6 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about the trickle charger you use. Some of them have bad reputations for frying batteries. We use this little one because it gently (and intelligently) keeps the battery fresh over winter. It's not too expensive, either. I've jumped my Sea-Doo a few times from my car. Thanks for your comment.
@3ftDeepChannel6 жыл бұрын
If it's a true trickle charger then it will know when the battery is fully charged and stop charging so it doesn't boil or overcharge the battery and damage it. I would not recommend jump starting your SeaDoo from a larger battery the older models had fragile electronics that were easily damaged when jump-starting the newer SeaDoos seem to have more robust electronics. If you have no other choice and have to jump start from another boat or vehicle make sure it's NOT running and triple check the polarity connection is correct.

What’s a good battery for a 07 seadoo wake 215 ?
@3ftDeepChannel2 жыл бұрын
This is the part number for your machine: 278001882 and they’re normally YUSA brand, but you can talk to your local battery shop and ask for an equivalent 30 amp battery that is sealed and of higher quality, if you’d like it to be a bit more reliable and last longer. Good luck.

@@3ftDeepChannel trickle charger vs battery tender??
@3ftDeepChannel2 жыл бұрын
Battery tender makes trickle chargers. We use trickle chargers over winter. They seem to work OK, but I can’t rave about them. They lose a bit of charge over time even with the trickle charger. The key is to never let your battery get below 11.75v under any circumstance. Once it does, the life expectancy decreases significantly. I had a brand new battery that I let drop to 9v over winter and it never held a charge again. Good luck.
@mikewhitlock18494 жыл бұрын
Do you have any videos to test basic charging system components. I have two year old battery and on batterytender all winters but its mid to high 13volts depending on if key is installed and I have to start right away or it wont start. I am sure battery is just little low but runs good and stays running once it starts. I am getting new battery but wanted to check other electrical components to make sure no problems.
@3ftDeepChannel4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no. We may end up making one on checking the regulator, but we haven't had a need so far. We'll keep this in mind, though thanks.

How about a 5-10a solar charger as the "trickle charger"? I read that they work even on cloudy days, although not as efficiently.
@3ftDeepChannel6 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with solar chargers for this application, so I can't really comment except to say that the Battery Tender is quite sophisticated, and has a good reputation in the industry. Good luck.

So Me and my buddy both have 2013 gti se 155s and we had this problem where the screws to the battery where coming loose it didn’t happen a lot but it started happening a lot towards the end of the season 2 times in one day what do you thinks causes this ?
@3ftDeepChannel5 жыл бұрын
Hull vibration. Try putting a little blue Loctite on the threads. Good luck.

Hey guys wanted to get your input on this. Got a 02 GTX DI and noticed battery was draining after sitting for few weeks. I usually have no issues riding all day and runs very good but last time out it wouldn't start after about 4 hours. Charged battery and have 12.6 volts on it but now I can't get it to start up. It turns over and I hear fuel pump running. Put new spark plugs and I do have fuel on them but don't have tester to check if I'm getting spark. I thinking rectifier is going bad but would that cause it to not run on these machines? What would you start checking?
@3ftDeepChannel3 жыл бұрын
The DI's can do strange things when the battery and charging system is not functioning properly check the stator output, rectifier and load test the battery. If any of the electrical components need replacing don't buy cheap stuff or you will have further problems.

That negative first an positive second is bullshit. You can do whichever first doesn’t matter. I know there’s “safety” involved but I did this shit for two years an never had an issue😊

I don't understand the video you show leaving your battery in the PWC and connecting the leads from the Battery Tender to the battery then reconnecting it but then you have a pop up dialogue that says " You should remove the battery from the watercraft" but you clearly don't so which is it, I'm confused
@3ftDeepChannel6 жыл бұрын
It's recommended that you remove the battery from the machine, but we don't. In other words do what we say, not what we do ;)

Sorry, I just found your comment now! Hopefully you found that it's the seal around the spark plug tubes that gets hard and fails to seal. They're about $25 each to replace. Good luck.
