I was actually visiting Port Arthur, Kemah and Galveston about a week before Hurricane Harvey. At the time, I was living in Western Arkansas, but I did grow up about 5 hours from Dallas. I've been living in Colorado for over 5 years and it doesn't rain much so I use Thunderstorm and Rain videos every night to help me fall asleep and get a good night's rest.

Thank u for this precious vid. No stupid songs, no comments during. I love rain and storms...it's help me to calm down. I suffer of insomnia and I'm in a battle againt breast cancer. The anxiety, the fear of death, the side effects of chemo don't let me relax and sleep everyday, every night. This vid help me to sleep a little. 🙏

I lived through hurricane Harvey, I didn’t think it was ever going to stop raining. It was over by walk to my front door but it wasn’t on the landing stop just before was going to come over the top. Thank God I was one of those that didn’t get any flooding in my house.

This was the outer bands of Harvey when it was a Category 1 strength storm. There on I-35 where the uploader was driving is essentially tropical storm strength winds of 35 - 60mph you are seeing and hearing - equivalent of a strong thunderstorm. Category 4 strength of 130mph to 150mph which was what happened down here in the gulf coast area is such a loud roar it could never be relaxing or ASMR worthy. I lived through it and its much more ominous, screaming roar with the thudding sound of debris and missiles smacking your house, busting it all up. Even in the day time it was so dark you'd think it were late dusk.

Oooooh that must be a lot of adrenaline driving trough this storm. Like a true gentleman he didn't say a word. He even made a stop and didn't even step out the car and he was just driving, driving, driving like a true Texan mad lad.... (or something) I'm living in Switzerland. We never get something closelyto a tornadoor hurricane but a few days ago (say 04.08.2022) we got that strong winds it's like a Tornado for swiss standards. Getting Flower pots turned around. Thats rather rarely

you driving in a hurricane that definitely took some balls of steel to have the bravery to drive in a storm like that, amazing video i've never seen rain and wind quite like that before but i did notice you were still being careful on the road, not going directly near the hurricane but close enough to chase the hurricane the thrill of chasing a storm must be very exciting but just read up about hurricane harvey, holy shit that's one strong hurricane, over in australia i think they are called cyclones usually only happens in Queensland in the wet season, they are currently in dry season up there they only dry and wet seasons but adelaide south australia gets all four seasons, the only thing south australia doesn't get is snow, i've never seen it, but yes queensland is known for cyclones so usually they have to build the building high up and try cyclone proof them as much as they can, queensland being tropical of course they have to deal with that but it's also a holiday city, more things to do, more tourism but adelaide is the more quiet of the australian states, i sleep to one of your thunderstorm mp3s and conveniently the ipad can be set to repeat so it stays on till i wake up the next day it's awesome, it also has to be super loud so anything that mum does when she's woken up like pottering around the house or just has the tv on it blocks out background noise so that i can sleep through anything mostly if mum yells loud enough or the dog jumps on the bed then i'm alerted but it's far healthier for me to use sound rather then a actual noisy fan at night cause of respiratory issues and allergies i could no longer use a fan anymore so that's where the loud thunderstorm music saved the day/night however i have become very dependent on the sleeping music now kinda addicted now, so even if i'm in a hotel where it's supposed to be not so loud i need to still have my sleeping music on although i didn't get in trouble on our recent holiday to queensland in the second hotel we were in i had to keep the volume at an ok level but still able to sleep to it, but it's legit apart of my sleep routine now i can't go without it lol it's funny however is there more thunderstorm vids on the way louder ones lol as loud as possibly can be lol 😂 just joking, it's not like you can actually control the volume of the weather lol but i love it and oddly i find watching the driving through a storm rather calming and relaxing to watch
