Nice, but after watching Deltics over a 20 year period while standing on that bridge and watch them blast through the station while reverberating all around York and inhaling the fumes it would take more than a couple of class 37's.

Seriously nothing The Mold ICI tanka through Newcastle Central in the 70 and eatly 80s always had a 40. Unbelievable sounds. Likewise the Coatbridge ans Trafford Park Freightliner from Felixstowe before the Trimley cut iff over the crossing at Beach station qnd up the grade towsrds Trimley would have amazed you youngsters today. I was so lucky to live through the 60s modernization before trucks finally killed off rail.

This isn't a cargo train, this is an RHTT, which uses high pressure water to get rid of leaves on the track, hope this helps! :)

@@kazdrone 🙏 Thanks for the explanation. RHTT I guess has something to do with rail track treatment? I was asking because there were only a small number of trucks/ wagons and yet it had two locos. 🙂

@@highvoltageswitcher6256 yes RHTT is the railhead treatment train, the modules consist of a control module, a silica sand mix and water jets. They’re usually operated with 2 locomotives for safety reasons (in case one fails) and to provide the power needed for the high pressure nozzles

​@@highvoltageswitcher6256 The RHTT trains sometimes do a circular tour, but often their route is out-and-back. The loco at the back becomes the loco at the front in the length of time it takes the driver to walk the length of the train, with no run around facilities needed. A lot of charter trains and often engineering trains have a loco both ends to avoid having to move the loco from one end to the other.
