This movie really changed how I see Rigby. On the one hand, I get that he didn't want to lose Mordecai as a friend. On the other hand, lying about Mordecai getting into college, sabotaging the letter and his future so he'd be stuck on the same level as him is insane. The scene of Rigby reading the rejection letter is heartbreaking, though. One of the heaviest scenes in the show.

@@Hamantha I agree, many think that Mordo went south with his development and maturity, but sometimes in life you have to go down in order to arise much higher. Mordo's only faults are just his self-conscious and insecurities, which have led to the behaviour we have watched on him through the series. He has shown to have enough talent and potential on skills and abilities related to work and study, but what he has lacked, interpersonal skills and how to deal with social issues, cannot be learnt through neither school nor books, it has to be through life lessons, like everyone of us.

@Z-fighter12611 ай бұрын
I know that feeling too well.
@angief63644 ай бұрын
Being rejected always feels really, really bad, no matter the words they use to say it, unless you are one of those who doesn't want to accept a "No" as an answer and still insists, and that's where they need to get more harsh on you. In the letter Rigby forged for Mordecai, he put it in a very polite way, like any institution should put it, like we though it was for Rigby as well, and despite that, getting the news are devastating. Once we listen Rigby's real rejection letter, everyone can see he received the news in the worst way ever (and I can't blame that someone's parents get angry and want to even go to demand the institution for acting like jerks, alas that is not in Rigby's case). However, Rigby wasn't hurt by the rejection letter, he has shown to be very resilent on being insulted, bullied, treated like trash even by his own dad so he is used to it. He doesn't care about studying at a Uni, being an undergraduated student nor getting a professional career, what really hurt him was that he was going to be separated from his best friend: Mordecai.

I know Internet, technology and social networks have evolved and made us hope that we can still keep in touch with our friends of the past, but let's face it: everyone has to move on, and keeping friendships, real ones, are not just with watching someone's state in social networks, giving either likes or comments, or with always wanting to be the ice breaker even though the others aren't; just time can tell us which friendships are real and worth it during our life, and meanwhile, one needs to move on.

What he did was truly messed up, ruining someone's future all just not to lose your friend, poor Mordeicai would have had his dream fufilled. Rigby truly not want to lose his only friend he has, not even his parents supported or try to help him, mostly his fat anger issue father seeing him as a failure. Hearing the rejection letter is really soul crushing, that is not right to do that to someone crushing their dreams all because you not university material. Regular show the movie was honestly a 7/10 for me. The story can predictable at times especially if you have seen the series but still has that charm and humor of the series. The animation is still the same but still can be exciting. The characters are still the same as they were but maybe to a fault. With the exception of Rigby, Mordecai isn’t really get much depth into other than being the best friend of Rigby who’s also his straight man. As for the others they’re just their lend an extra hand and maybe add a bit to the humor. The antagonist Ross, is interesting but one problem I have with him is a lack of focus on his goal. At first He wants to get back at Rigby, but soon decides he wants to destroy time. I feel like there should’ve been more thought on to him. As I said before, it’s enjoyable but I’m definitely hesitant to say it one CN best movies based on their shows, like Ed Edd n Eddy’s big picture show or knd operation zero. After seeing the movie, it makes me realize Rigby's childhood is just depressing if you think hard about it: Mordecai was his only friend through out his entire life to the point his worst fear is Mordecai leaving him, his little brother Don, who despite wanting to be like Rigby, was always the favorite among his family and the public, his parents, well honestly his father practically disowned him in favor of Don because he was never the good son they wanted, Rigby has always been told by his family, classmates, and strangers that he was too stupid and lazy to do anything and will never amount to anything in life, heck he couldn’t even get a college that’s near impossible to get rejected, plus it could be possible he might be born with a learning disability, and he wasn't able to grow properly and to small for almost anything. What makes it even more tragic that because of this and his lack of muscle and tiny body anyone (even pops) can beat him whenever they want. Also personally, that’s where one of the problems with his character is, I feel like, for the most part, all this show is telling me is Rigby is a loser. Sure he’s also acts as the goofball screw up to Mordecai’s responsible straight man and likable jerk, both of which he doesn’t always perfect in every episode especially during the early episodes but still can be entertaining, but doesn’t do anything else. Like a dream or a need to want more in life. It sometimes just gives out a depressing feeling about him sometimes. It didn’t really help that most of episodes, mainly the early ones, centered on him is just him causing trouble due to his selfishness or bad luck, which can make him a bit unlikeble. There is also the fact even though he can be a jerk at times nobody, but Eileen, really bothers to help him even when he's practically calling out for it. They just pass him off as a selfish jerk. Which is why he needed Eileen in his life. Having a girlfriend who’s not only intelligent but understanding and willing to support you no matter what. Kinda why I supported the two of them it helped Rigbys character for the better. Sure, Rigby has improved a lot in the the series, but the best way to describe Rigby is a scared boy trapped in a man's body.
