She also gives the same lesson everytime without change, Spongebob is clearly not learning with this style. He is simply either too energetic or too panicked to drive. The blindfold worked like a hood that they give to hawks and eagles to calm them down.

@@samuraijackoff5354 He's written to fail as a running gag, nothing to do with teaching. But if we were to analyze it like in real life. Spongebob doesn't need to learn to drive, he needs a way to handle his anxiety when under pressure otherwise he goes crazy. Tbh, in real life, those types of people aren't fit to drive and that's ok. Driving is statistically one of the most dangerous things people do in general. Either way, that's not the driving instructor's job, a driving instructor isn't your psychologist.

Krusty Towers is an amazing episode, one of the few episodes where Squidward gets to have fun without the cost of expense, because he already had it at the beginning and we root for him. Spongebob was also great in this episode being sidelined which made Krabs the main antagonist of the plot and his antics finally backfiring

This is one of the best episodes of Season 4. Most underrated quote of Squidward: "It's in the middle of scenic NOWHERE! There's nothing to do but get stung by jellyfish" I always jokingly paraphrase the quote when I see my family in Ruston (wasps get really angry when it's hot)

Krusty Towers was pretty good. One of the last few bright spots. The takeout with the truck still gets a few chuckles out of me. Rare to see Squidward on both sides of the punishment spectrum. Someone also needs to tell Mr. Krabs not all hotels limit their restaurant to guests... In fact, I'm kinda sure that's not a thing at any normal one.

It's funny because if you remember in the episode of Mrs. Puff getting fired the shark-looking guy trained Spongebob to be better at driving without needing to see the road and blindfolded but he took it literally. That was why Spongebob was happy when Patrick's pants covered his eyes because now he couldn't see and therefore he could drive better.

Now, when refreshing it in the mind "Krusty Towers" is a great episode even if Krabs didn't get enough punishment he deserved. I just love how Squidward kept messing up with Krabs and, surprisingly didn't get annoyed with SpongeBob's company. Squidward's mom sequence was hilarious as hell, it's really nice to see Mrs.Tentacles for the first time. I understand it won't be done due to status quo, but at this point 24 years later I just wish SpongeBob finally passed exam well and got his license

A lot of people consider Season 4 and Season 5 to be very hit or miss seasons, which they are. There are more throwaway episodes in those seasons than there are in seasons 1-3. However, that's really not the fault of the Season 4 & 5 writers. A lot of the good ideas and opportunities to explore each of the characters were already done in the first 3 seasons.

Its definitely the start of the downfall, though its really only in retrospect that becomes apparent. Taking it on its own its a good season that just has a few episodes that are really off. You can see the start of a few trends that become really bad later on, but again that's only in retrospect.
