One thing I love about this series is how much on a different level Shredder and Splinter are portrayed in. Last time Shredder fought the turtles, he decimated them and would've killed them if he didn't get distracted by Bradford and Xever being mutated. But here, Splinter easily bodies Shredder's men and fights him toe-to-toe.

15:40-16:00 This had to be most epic part of the season 1 finale... I just love how Leo goes all out destroying the power cell of the portal and Blowing up TCRI in a big explosion followed by a even BIGGER explosion right after it.

I like how this finale tied up both storylines yet kept them continue. It's only season 1 but you can already feel how far the Turtles have come. Don't you worry, it's just the begging of awesome fights with Splinter, he's as badass as Shredder. Keep in mind how happy Turtles celebrated the victory. This is going to bite them in their shells for the rest of the series.
