Well I guess I will have to answer this as the one Steven Universe Superfan: Stevonnie is INTERSEX: individuals born with any of several sex characteristics, including chromosome patterns, gonads, or genitals that, according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, "do not fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies". Stevonnies "equipment" is also not relevant considering they are 2 Minors in a Trenchcoat

"On the Run" is a very important episode with how we learn about how gems are made Pearl saying "None of this is your fault you didn't build this place" and "You're the one good thing that came out this mess, I always thought you were proud of that" is insane symbolism of helping someone not hate about where he or she comes from and not feel like it defines their identity like a bad neighborhood or environment that wasn't healthy

It was heartwarming to see Pearl and Amethyst hug at the end. Despite their squabbling and where Amethyst came from, Pearl respects Amethyst for who she is.

Stevonnie is a They. Depending on the episode, Stevonnie will look more male of female. You can also tell whose the more dominant personality. (Most of the time they will look more feminine though xD)

Stevonnie is canonically intersex and nonbinary. They use they/them pronouns and they're super cool. Everytime they're on screen, its probably a good episode. Debatably one episode is somewhat less interesting the all their appearances. Also, they have all of Steven's powers and all of Connie's natural and learned(upcoming) skills too

Also, the crystal ball scene is them having a mini picnic attack almost. It's one of the few times we see what falling apart as a fusion looks like from their perspective. Think of it as a visual representation of how they feel in that moment

Not quite how nonbinary works there - nonbinary just has to do with their gender presentation and identity. They are also _intersex_ , which means their anatomy is not cleanly in one camp or the other. People with intersex conditions can have a variety of potential "equipment" in their pants, it's not a Barbie-doll-crotch situation

In The Test Steven could have told off GAP for their shenanigans but after overhearing them he realized that him passing the test was even more important for their confidence, so he went along. As he grows older he's looking out for things bigger than just himself. When he told Pearl "YOU have to talk to her" about Amethyst, he's slowly becoming the true heir of Rose Quartz.
