Fun fact: The ripoffs are based on an actual ripoff of the amazing world of gumball called miracle star and the characters designs are meant to resemble the actual ripoff designs but they had to be careful to not make it too much like actually them

I believe the rip-off designs were from a Chinese milk company. I’m sure Cartoon Network were successful in suing but its China, they don’t any copyright laws.

You know, it’s crazy because the copies of them were based off of a Chinese knock off that Cartoon Network had sued, but then actually made it into a whole episode. It’s so amazing. One of the best episodes in the show.

27:34 They sound different because their voice actors changed again. They’re now voiced by Nicolas Cantu and Donielle T Hansley Jr. (Nicolas Cantu also voiced Leonardo in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem)

The Copycat is actually a response to a Chinese brand milk company who were ripping off the whole Gumball family in one of their commercials.

27:35 The joke is that the voice actors are constantly changing to voice Gumball and Darwin. I’m not sure if it’s just for the joke or it’s time but I think they changed voice actors after that joke.

Gumball and Darwin are voiced by kids, so, when they start getting a bit too old to voice the characters, they change the voice actors. They usually write it into the show as some sort of joke, too, like they did here.

Fun Fact: When Bobert knocks Gumball into last year, he ends up in the Season 3 episode, "The Spoiler". Plus, there really are dumb laws like the ones Bobert pointed out all arounf the U.S. KZbinr "Daneboe" even did some old videos listing off some of these laws.

I question if Sarah is still obsessed with Gumball at the end if the bro-tato episode. Or at the very least, not as obsessed as she was when we first saw her. Although there is the phrase "never meet your heroes", I don't know how that would be translated in Sarah's case.
