Because this date scene literally makes that impossible, they had one single date here where they hadn't even held hands yet, and Doof says that he never saw her again after that. I don't know how people keep missing that and think this scene encourages the theory, when its whole point for existing is to debunk the theory and make it impossible.

EVERYONE who thinks doof could be Phineas' father forgets the fact that CANDACE is his full biological sister. That scene was meant to DEBUNK the theory, as the date went horribly, and Doof said he never saw her again. Even IF that date SOMEHOW ended in sex and pregnancy, it would only be Candace.

I actually had this fan theory a long time ago. Since Doofenshmirtz used to date Linda, that probably meant he spent some personal nights with her. Which means Doofenshmirtz could possibly be Phineas’s biological father. That would totally explain the triangle head and mind for inventions, wouldn’t it? 😅

it's been officially debunked by the creators of the show, since timeline wise it would make no canonical sense. they only went on one date, and after that, never saw each other again.

Interesting. The impression I always had was that the flashback was to their first date when Doof and Linda were testing the waters (Linda being in the trunk to pay for one less ticket definitely didn't help his chances) and after that failure of a first date, she never wanted a second date and closed the flashback with "take me home".

How do people keep missing the whole point of what happened in that dating scene? That scene literally shows that Doof and Linda DIDN'T date really at all and that Doof cannot possibly be Phineas' and Candace's dad. That was their first and only date, it shows that they hadn't even held hands yet let alone going further, AND Doof said he never saw her again after she made him end the date there. This scene doesn't encourage the Doof is the dad theory, it debunks it and makes it impossible.
