Really annoying demo. Can he not just play a note and let it sustain out? I hate bass players who overplay. This dude can not play funk. Envelope and octave are absolutely the funkiest pedals for funk-bass and this guy totally blows it. You gotta have space for the funk....just ask Bootsy.

What? i'm not a victor fan, but I don't think you really get the point of the video. If I was pedal builder and this dude was playing one of my pedals, you don't understand how excited I would be.

A few years ago I saw a vid of Phil Lesh at the Pigtronix booth checking out some cool pedals on bass. To be honest he seemed a bit lit. And baked. However, as he was playing he would simply play a note and let the effect track all the way through. He must have been genuinely interested in how the effects sounded and not trying to show off. Of course all the dumb kids on youtube were leaving all these asinine comments like: "that dude sucks" and "he can't shred" ....etc....

There's more than one way to play a bass.

Indeed. Certainly. I just appreciate it when demonstrating an effect pedal if the bassist can play some whole notes with decay time so as to hear the full "sweep" and tracking of the effect.

craigdamage - Master Wooten wasn't demonstrating anything. He was seeing how the pedals complimented his playing style. And the 3Leaf cat was helping him do that
