Does the FB136 cure rock hard, or does it stay a little flexible?

Hello....I have a question about the 3M CP25WB+....I had to use it to finish off a repair on my gas fireplace. I had to remove the whole ignitor assy which included ignitor, thermocouple, thermopile, and pilot. That is 4 lines that went through the bottom of the floor of the fireplace. They had a red fire proof caulk sealing the area orginally that I had to dig out. But it was solid and shiny like a normal caulk I am used to seeing. I cleaned the area after replacing the assy and recaulked with the CP25WB+. It has sat for 4 days to cure. Does it ever get completely solid? My area got solid but it is able to be marked with your finger nail if pushed on. It feels spongy. It does not appear to cure like normal caulk. Is this correct? It is a brand new bottle purchased from my local Menards so it is not like the bottle has been sitting around for years. Just wanting to make sure this is the normal cure before reconnecting everything back up.
