I really like Marilyn’s advice: “Even though you go through this now, but you don’t have to go through this pain again later in life.” I believe it’s the same logic for other pains in life. 👍🏻🙏🏻 The girls are amazingly flexible

My personal experience: Don’t stretch with Lee. It will make you feel depressed.
The flexibility of SheYun dancer is incredible. This is insane 😵💫

Amazing! I'm 45 and I want to learn the split. I was flexible when I was a kid but stopped stretching and now it hurts. My 7 years old daughter who's very flexible told me to just force to split even if it's painful coz that's how she did it. I think stretching would really help a lot for older people's health. I learned doing the headstand before I turned 43. You guys inspire me to do more stretching. You all are amazing! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Wow I thought you guys started stretching waaaay younger like 3 or 4 & never knew what it felt to be stiff... I don’t understand how y’all started as big kids/teenager & still manage to be more flexible than most professional dancers who normally start stretching no later than 7! I started at 9 (later than most of my peers at the time) & I remember it was VERY painful!!! You guys must have put a lot of effort & dedication!!! Keep up the good work guys & stay out of injury especially during cold weather!

This is so incredibly useful to me as a regular person. I’ve tried a stretching routine before, but made such little progress and just thought I was a failure at it. But listening to professional dancers explain that it takes time, it STILL hurts after all these years, and that the muscles naturally resist, tells me I just need to keep at it and I will achieve my flexibility goals! I always thought that once you’re limber you remain limber, but I see that’s not the case. Thank you all so much for this! I begin again today!

You talked about Kicking stretches verses static stretches: you're actually more likely to cause injury through sudden, sharp movements like kicking, punching etc than through gradually increased stretches synched with breath. It should never cause pain nor be forced. Not that I am a professional ballet dancer; I am awed by and appreciate your incredible flexibility, strength and vigour. You're all so joyful and fun. Looking forward to seeing you all perform in Montpelier, France next weekend _/\_

@3MusketeersUSA Жыл бұрын
You can definitely be fit without doing weight/muscle exercises. Our training focuses on the natural muscles in the human body. As dancers we don’t want to look bulky with big muscles! So cardio and stretching exercises can definitely keep you fit :)
