It takes a true man to admit they let a round get away from them. In my experience, many folks have at least once. ;)You got training and that is very commendable. T. Been around firearms and shooting since age 8 I’m 57 now.

I recommend BarrelBlok Dry Fire. I have any and all training guns with BarrelBlok in them, which is easy to see. These training guns are always in the training area I have in my house. My loaded guns are always in a holster and never near my training guns. I don't holster and unholster loaded guns. I take guns out of holsters only to shoot them or to clean/oil them. This reduces the chance of an ND by a lot. Salute to you for getting training and being serious about safety.

I tried the stiff belts, but they irritate my hips and aggravate my sciatica. No good. I use groove life and like them, but I took a chance on a belt from Hunter Constantine, and find it the best of both worlds. A stretchy section with a smaller reinforced stiff section. I love it. Comfortable, yet extremely stable. I’ve been carrying for over 30 years and this is the best belt I’ve found, so far.
@searcher9Ай бұрын
Just want to add my two cents:I LUV my Kore belts! However, after several long trips in a car, which alone will trigger my sciatic pain, I realized that my belt, with the gun weight was literally a pain in the ass. I tried the Hunter Constantine belt, and wow… Sciatic pain not FULLY gone after a long trip, or long day carrying, but greatly reduced. I spread the word to family and friends.

I open carry most places I go because I am attempting to change people's opinions of citizens carrying firearms and making it more normal and showing them that we are not a threat. That is my personal philosophy on that. It does however force me to be more alert and aware of who is moving around me in closed spaces. I tend to shift my body if somebody gets too close to place myself between them in the firearm

I hope that you are prepared for being run up on by agitated Law Enforcement that got a call from dispatch about "a man with a gun" at Walmart, Dennys, etc. It's not your fault, but anti-gun Karens have a history of calling 911 and creating a very dangerous situation by misleading the Police dispatcher about "a man with a gun" situation, as if you are threatening people or committing a robbery.

I have a couple Groove Life belts they work well easily adjustable and comfortable only thing is after several years of daily wear they don’t hold the adjustment and I constantly have to readjust for proper tension. They are easy on easy off which is very important to me and a heads up buy bigger than you think you need and leave the tag end long the double thickness really helps to retain the holster.
@OlivehollowАй бұрын
I have that same GrooveLife belt. Been happy with it for EDC. Easy to get on and off, stiff enough to hold my pistol in place. Always hear the Hunter Constantine belt is a nice option too.
@donalddavenport9645Ай бұрын
Do they make a dedicated gun belt. I have their newest one and when I draw from a ISW holster the entire holster came off so I haven’t wore it since. Maybe they make a wider one?
@donalddavenport9645Ай бұрын
Maybe because it’s a full size pistol
@OlivehollowАй бұрын
@@donalddavenport9645 it could be? I carry a Glock 43x appendix so maybe the weight and holster size from a full-size doesn’t match well with the belt. Kore or the Hunter Constantine belt always have positive reviews and they are specifically gun belts for EDC. Might be a better fit for you.

Try the grip6 belts out. For carrying I like the work belt, it’s a bit stiffer. But if I am getting on a flight I like the their carbon fiber buckle. It doesn’t set off the metal detectors so I don’t have to mess with my belt which is great when flying internationally. I am trying to get them to make a carbon fiber buckle for the work belt strap size. They are incredibly comfortable belts.
@renegadearmsАй бұрын
I've tried and own the groove belt, kore, leather, and numerous others and my favorite EDC is by tacbeltz, it's easy to adjust the tension around you easily and it's stuff enough but not to stiff and you'll forget you're wearing it, I believe on their website I have the single layer boss se.

For EDC I use an inner belt with loop out from Shepherd Defensive out in Arizona. Their system uses about 11 inches of hook and loop to fasten the inner belt which makes for a very secure grip (for comparison, my Bianchi inner belt only has 4 inches of overlap and isn't as secure). The overlap can be easily slid to the side to get it out of the way.

The best belt on the market is the Hunter Constantine belt. He makes both an EDC version and a tactical competition. Two-piece belt that attaches with velcro, in the back of the belt it has military grade elastic, And in the front it has a 8.0 Inch × 1.5 inch rigid but flexible stainless steel insert for hooking your holster clips on your in the waistband holster. With this belt, you'll no longer have back pain. The military grade elastic in the back allows it to be able to flex and stretch as you move throughout the day with the stainless steel insert in the front, keeping the holster in place where it needs to be keeping it close to the body. Concealed.

after my first year of carrying concealed I've discovered it actually comes down to the pants your wearing dictate which kind of belt you can properly wear. I have a Kore ratchet belt and a 5 year old brown leather belt from Walmart that's worn and has extra sizing holes drilled in. Depending on the pants I'm wearing(or shorts) will dictate which belt I can wear to properly retain the holster to my body. Some cargo's like Kore some like thin leather. Jeans are the same, shorts no different. You have to experiment and customize.

For the people watching that often wear sweats or athletic shorts and dont wear a belt... Wear a belt. Best deicision i ever made for EDC was to get a good semi rigid, but somewhat stretchy belt to wear regardless of my outfit. Just put the belt on under the waistband of whatever athletic clothing you're wearing and boom, your weapon is secure, and you're in comfortable clothing. I wear athletic clothes 90% of the time I am not at work and carry 100% of the time.
