I realized for the 15 round mags for the 365, the don’t jam like the 12 or 10. So I carry with a custom 12 from armory craft, gold base plate, since I got the gold barrel that has a wider slip angle at the bore entrance also. Zero jams at 10k rounds. And I only cleaned once.

@@sukaenacornelius9285so a laser will just be constantly on while you are “concealing” and I doubt you have fired 10k rounds. Cause if you have then you would not need a laser to shoot. Your husband failed you if he suggests you use a laser instead of the sights.
@sukaenacornelius9285Ай бұрын
@@DC-bk6ep My husband gave it to me. One of the first 365s without safety with some second edition extractor. Never said I went ten thousand rounds. Regardless. There are wife variety of situations where a laser is better regardless. Fyi, my husband was military and said he used the the bright beam of light to aim without ever using sights or he used the IR sights through he night goggles. And I’ve been with him and his friends shooting fast with them than with sights. But certain situations especially slow movers like me, laser will always be better. Even if I had done 10k rounds. I mentioned 10k because the gun is very durable, and my husband had got it used. Technically it has been cleaned because he put a pretty barrel and slide on it, stippled it with grippy handle and put a van halen guitar stipe design except with girly colors with a paint called cerakoted. I could do a million rounds. I’m never gonna be as good as you, my husband or his friends. They could shoot blind in the dark better than I could with sights. But depending on situations in my routine stores, locations I frequent and hot spots, I know what to do. Which is sad. Which is also why I’m moving out of US.

I was part of the Pilot Program, in 1993, for NYPD, to transition from 38 cal revolvers . Four guns were chosen for the Program. Sig Sauer, Glock, Smith and Wesson, and Ruger... Only Ruger did not make the final Cut..Less than a thousand officers were chosen from a Department of almost 38,000 at the time.. I have carried either Glock and Sig Sauer for roughly 30 years.. Both guns have their good points...For the most part, it really comes down to a matter of personal choice.. Except one category, Accuracy.. The Sig Sauer will shoot circles around the Glock.. This is not a personal opinion, rather an observation.. Thousands of rounds fired on the Range, the Sig shooters consistently had tighter groups with less Flyer type target hits.. If you look down the line of Shooters, the tighter groups were usually Sigs. This observation was made over many years of Service, and Range Dates... Both great guns. Sig Sauer hands down more accurate

Funny you should say that about the Sig being accurate. I don't think the Sig's mechanical accuracy is better, but between the ergos, the trigger and the sight picture, everyone seems to shoot the Sig well right off the bat. To me, the trigger reach is a big thing too. On guns like Glock, Walther, or Canik, the trigger has a long take up and it breaks all the way back against the grip frame. This puts your finger at an awkward angle and it's harder to break the trigger without moving the sights. On the sig, take up is short and after the trigger breaks you can still get the tip of your pinky finger behind the trigger. The same reason that companies like Apex offer 'flat/forward' trigger kits for guns like the M&P. My 320 is a compact in .45 ACP and I carry it most of the time, simply because I shoot it so well. Oh, and mine has never malfunctioned in several thousand rounds fired of all sorts of ammunition.

I guess I'm just partial to the M&P. Glocks are reliable, but the triggers are f****** junk. Plus, with the jurie we have these days, it's a risk if you carry a modified weapon. If I have to change the trigger out on it, then I don't want it as my carry gun. I don't want to give these slimy lawyers anymore excuses to use than they already have.

Sweet gift... Have the Tech guy go to your favorite firearms store. Purchase or borrow the Smith and Wesson 10mm 2.0 M&P. The Performance center version runs approximately 750, the standard 4.5 in barrel version approximately 650 bucks. That's pocket change for you (so spring for the Performance Center version). Give it a run and a review. If you want something that's different and fun. Plus, a GREAT hunting handgun. Take a .460 revolver Long Barrel out to your range. No, it's not CCW. It's a hunting firearm. Something different to try and review. [Make sure you get the long barrel hunting version]. Just a note of interest, "some " semi auto pistols. Don't like "hollow point" rounds and will have feed problems. Because of the angle of the "feed ramp" on the barrel. They prefer "ball" ammo. Take it to a proper Gunsmith, we can do a minor bit of stone work and cure it. If the tolerances are tight it can cause this as well. Where as a "loose" tolerance hand gun , not so tight tolerances. Will not be or not be as easily affected by the "feed ramp angle " , and feed ball or hollow point. If you ever have a handgun built for you. Your Gunsmith, should ask you, is this for carry or competition ? Or a little bit of both ? A competition firearm is built to tight tolerances and zero play, for accuracy. You will need to "shoot it in " . Or you will have jam issues and stove pipe issues. But after about 100 rounds, proper break in a proper cleaning and lubrication...not overly lubed. It will be ready. Keep in mind a competition firearm is not only built tight to specs. But sometimes just a little tighter. Because it's expected to be shot a lot. So you want to prolong the time between rebuilds as a competition shooter. A "carry" firearm, is usually a little loose or sloppy. To allow it to shoot any ammo under all conditions, environments, etc. . Without any malfunctioning. Accuracy may suffer slightly. But not terribly, unless it is extremely loose fitting... poor quality. And of course if you want it for both competition and carry. Your Gunsmith will build it some where in the middle. Not to tight, not to loose. One last note... if the firearm has been painted. Cerakote... then assembled. It to cause brief feed issues... jamming. Because of the paint, you will see the wear marks (slide to frame fit). That can easily be cleaned up and usually will 'shoot in" after a little use.

Great content as always Chadd! I think those first two malfunctions were mag issues. Had that happen before even with pmags in a Glock and even in a 1911. You probably know but they just need to be cycled a couple times. Shot a P320 right out of the box once and had no issues whatsoever. Also could be ammo. S&B is generally pretty decent ammo for the price, at least for 9mm anyway. Can’t say much for 10mm. I’m a Glock fan but i’m getting more into the Sigs lately as they are just good guns!

Dont use grease on the slides, its better with a drop of 3in1 oil on each side or even to run it dry than to use grease. Grease causes friction and it will heat up and get tacky. Blessings in Jesus
@tbsoper5 ай бұрын
How exactly does a lubricant grease cause friction? Actual question. Some very knowledgeable firearms people use Clenzoil gun grease on the slide rails and Johnny Glocks has a couple greases he uses. I’ve also used them for the past year and have noticed improvement instead of any friction or lag, whatever you want to call it.

OK children gather round.......... Number 1. SIG striker fires are junk. 2. sellier + bellot brass is soft and the cartridges do not want to slide on top of each other going into battery causing jams. 3. I'm a proffesional, as such we don't load mags to capicity +1. for the reasons shown with the SIG. For example, 14 round mag +1 when fired the slide must recoil pushing down on a full mag as it rides over top and pushing back into battery ( COULD JAM, NOT RELIABLE, WHICH MEANS YOU ARE DEAD IN A GUNFIGHT). Don't bring a jammed pistol to a knife fight.

I have a P320 and M17 from Sig with a ton of rouncds through them and found both to be highly reliable, but both are 9mm. I do think that getting 15 rounds in that smaller magazine could be problematic with these large rounds (although the fact that the feed failures happened on nearly the last round was interesting). I still don't carry my P320 as I still don't trust the trigger (even after the optional trigger upgrade from Sig). My EDC is still my H&K VP9SK (but you won't be fitting any 10mm in that). I do find that I like the grip angle and feel on guns like the H&K VP9SK, Sig P229, Sig P320, S&W 1911, etc. better than the Glock, but there is no denying a glocks reliability to go pew everytime you pull the trigger. Is it wrong for me to still prefer the Sig over the Glock? I don't know, but in woods, the pistol is my backup to my Marlin 1895 SBL brush gun.
