I’m glad that now he doesn’t get as much hate, but it has to be said, idols don’t choose their hairstyles, stylists do. Maybe if he had input he should’ve said something, but he apologised for that. You don’t have to accept the apology but if we keep condemning people, the world can’t improve and become better. Make sure to send extra love to Chan, (and the others too of course), it made me sad seeing him so down after this controversy first started. No one should ever receive/send hate comments and death threats, I also hated seeing Chan so stressed out about everything going on at the time. During a skz vlive, where the members were playing games, Chan's nose bled twice and nose bleeds are either due to extreme heat, cold or stress. And he was so stressed! I feel so bad for him! It’s usually described as ppl taking a culture and trying to pass it off as their own or shame it in some way kind of. But appropriation is better explained in examples like Nikki Minaj wear traditional Asian culture dresses but cutting slits in it. Or when some white girls wear dreads or braids and claim that it looks better and it’s just a hairstyle. There so many other examples but those are just a few. As far as Chan that’s my point cause I don’t feel offended personally as a black girl but I do know that there are other black ppl that do find it offensive and appropriation. I just think society needs to create a clear line of what is and what isn’t you know.
