3rd BEST TIME!

The Manthey-Racing setup is starting to do it's thing!
Broke my previous fastest time of 7:17" by another 5 seconds.
The track conditions were ideal. Not too hot, not too cold.
Too bad for all the traffic. There is plenty more time to gain!
The Cup R tyres have done around 35 laps and still have 65-70% of maximum grip.
Setup:
-Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 R tires
-MR upgrade kit for OEM suspension
-MR alignment, corner weight balancing
-MR brake pads
-MR braided brake lines
-Endless racing brake fluid

Only 16 seconds off the GT3 RS lap record. Just need stickers on the car, I hear Greddy stickers give you an extra 50hp easy. Also fluffy dice on the rear view mirror increase downforce by 5%.

stoneeh yep, about 36 seconds difference with the record. BUT they have no traffic, they have perfect fresh set of tires and a team of mechanics and engineers at hand. And of course they have 1 of the best Porsche factory driver Kevin Estre!!

It is incredible how this mk2 car is quick. Did 7:11 two days ago with gt3 rs mk1 stock ( even allignement and first time trying the car) and cup2 N1. missed a 7:07BTG because of traffic and was not even a flying lap, i was coming from the pit ;) anyways very very nice driving

@@nico2006t Yeah they burn their optimal grip a lot faster then N's. The best is until 10-15 laps. Normally until 40-45 laps indeed but then again my N2'S reached the limit at 55-60laps. Yeah we should! You seem to be the only driver together with me who does 7:1x from pitstop start with a GT3RS. At least that I can find on KZbin? I should really try an empty trackday as well instead of TF with lot's of "slow" traffic.

Yes, it’s a habit of mine. It didn’t start conscious but was more of a personal instinct and made me able to go faster but it’s very personal. Now I know why I do it, it gives me a sense of grip on the front tires before committing hard on a turn in. Whatever works I guess.🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

He answered previously. The Boxster and Cayman were easier to drive, more balanced. The GT3 has much more power and also takes much more driver skill to drive fast.

Yes a lot so in the beginning! Because I could go lot's harder in the corners with the GT4. But now with the new Cup2R it feels about the same if not more. Also the 9000rpm and downforce makes you forget the GT4 fast :D

Good lap dude! 7:12 is really fast with traffic. I just did a 6:54 in a 991.1 on Assetto Corsa (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aYqal6jd6Cba8) However that was absolute optimal conditions and obviously no fear of crashing etc pushing 110% Not sure how much quicker the .2's are but I'm sure you'll be sub 7 with no problems if you keep at it! :)

I know it's just a sim but. I use you're lines as best I can. I managed a 6:13 in an 840BHP Subaru impreza . I know I can go faster but it is very hard to keep focus at that rate of speed even in a VR simulator . The time you did with traffic is beyond fantastic for the class of car.
