🚪 3rd East Rail Line to have full platform gates! At MTR Sha Tin Station Platform 1

Sha Tin Station became the 3rd East Rail Line station to finish all platform gates installation. The first 2 gates at Platform 1 were installed in late March. It was then fully operational in early May. Since there are multiple platforms, platform gates can be installed during day time. All stations of the East Rail Line will be installed with platform gates before the end of 2025.
沙田站成為第3個完成所有閘門安裝的車站，1號月台首兩道閘門於3月尾完成，並於5月初全面投入服務。由於沙田站1號月台是一個備用月台，平時只有早上和深夜有列車使用，因此閘門可以在日間完成，所以非常快就完成了。東鐵線所有車站將會在2025年或之前完成安裝閘門。

It’s time for the real test of curved platforms. Sha tin is already slightly curved on P1 and P4, so the gates can be installed in the same matter with maybe some different calculations for the platform curve.
