I wouldn't trust this to just any shop, so many clowns and so many shortcuts. Having a leaking roof is a nightmare, That is why I think I would rather go with a cheaper roof mount, no drilling easily take on and off and if its stolen, well it's not a big deal, it wasn't expensive. Thanks for sharing.

Don’t have any shop recommendations for that area. Any shop can do the install following our installation video.

any concerns with the RTV drying out/cracking and causing a leak later?

Permatex ultra black RTV is an OE used gasket maker. It is designed to handle high temps and leaves no reason to believe it would break down in this application.
