When you put the epoxy in to fill the spaces, are you going around the plus nut, or are you filling the entire space and pushing the screw through the epoxy?

We like to fill the entire space so it gets in the threads as well just to ensure there is no chance of leaking!

Again, a good explanation. Would have liked to see the front hole drill and install, but I think I could figure it out. Thanks 👍😎

As I am two holes deep into installing this on my new 2024 Frontier Pro 4X, I think to read my owners manual and find the location of the side curtain airbags. The owners manual states that “the curtain air bags are located in the side roof rails”!!! This, to me, is exactly where you are required to drill!! I’m hoping I just didn’t eff one of my safety features of my new truck. I’d take caution in purchasing this roof rack, unless I’m proven wrong.

You should be just fine. We recommend controlling the depth of your drilling so you don't have any issues with any part of the factory roof but the side curtain airbags are off to the side more so there shouldn't be an issue. If you were to remove the door seal trim and slightly pull down the headliner you will see the side curtain airbags... They are tucked tightly in to those side rails right where you want them to deploy.

Got my rack guys! The first two back holes were easy and hours and many drill bits later I'm still struggling to drill the rest of the holes past 1/4" diameter to the required 3/8" diameter despite using the most expensive bits I can find. The video made it look way too easy. Any drilling tips for this almost 1/4" thick frontier roof ?

1/4" is nothing. Invest in good bits

@@tenncutt Its not the fact that its 1/4 of an inch in thickness - its the fact that this is a weld line for the body and several panels overlap here. You may have to grind holes to size since the metal is insanely hard after welding.

I’m currently installing this and holy heck, this is difficult. I’m drilling into my truck now and 1/4” sunk easily, all bits after up to 3/8” bit does not. I’ve been cursing Nissan and myself for over six hours and only have two out of 10 holes complete!!!! Update: Have a professional install this for you.

Quality drill bits will help tremendously. Also make sure you start small and work your way up incrementally. The last item that will help tremendously is using cutting lubricant and using the slow setting on the drill. Once you have the initial hole drilled it should be quite simple to work your way up to the 3/8" bit. Give us a call if you have further issues or questions and we would be happy to help!

@@02PSU No you shouldn't need to worry about the airbags. Use a KC wire hider to run your wiring down the windshield and into the engine bay for any roof rack lights.
