I, for one, am extremely glad that you guys came together to tell your story. Not only was it interesting, but inspiring, as I'm trying to get more into the FG scene, and love 3rd strike too. I'm probably around the same age as you guys, but I lived in the middle of nowhere (aka Madden country), so just to hear about your tournament experiences makes me kinda jealous, but also appreciative as well. I missed out on alot, but I hope to be an elite player myself, like you guys someday

@skiie No biggie, no offense taken :D It does make sense. Consider how user friendly each game is. If you can easily perform what's important in the game and have the same tools available, both players are on equal footing and how smart you are is less of a factor. That was the point of SF4. I don't speak for Ryan, but I can imagine he's more interested in promoting SSF4 and the community than practicing and winning at it.

@skiie fair enough debate. I think its hard to be good at a game which in the end you dont really enjoy that much. You can try as hard to become good at the game, in the end if you really are not enjoying it, you wont be motivated to be good at it and keep going back to smash it. I think technically 3s is alot harder. Parry system opens up a whole new realm of tactics, the combos and commands are more strict in timing and execution etc. I think though each game need diff skills to be good

@skiie Quite the opposite. Other people are ABLE to better against him because it's an easier game to play. It's relatively easier to beat a skilled player in checkers rather than a skilled player in chess.

Its because they've been playing so long, just like if you started off playing turbo 2 chances are you would consider 3rd strike to be checkers in comparison to turbo 2.

I'm talking about the attitude Gootecks has towards SF4 now that SF3 is popular again. I want to see more SF3 stuff. I really like the game. What I was saying is that I don't so much want to see SF3 vids in which gootecks kinda rags on SF4, which is still my main game.
